About us

The East Bay Clean Cities Coalition is an all-volunteer organization based in the East Bay Area of Northern California, with the hub of operations located in the Oakland/Berkeley area. Our primary area of activity is Alameda County and Contra Costa County, but our region extends east to Fairfield and North into Sonoma and Napa Counties. As part of a sponsored program under the federal Department of Energy, the East Bay Clean Cities Coalition is organized as a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation directly engaged in the reduction, replacement, and elimination of petroleum fuel consumption. The Coalition is governed by a seven member Board of Directors representing various organizations from throughout the Bay Area. Established in 1994, the East Bay Clean Cities Coalition mobilizes and coordinates alternative fuel and advanced technology vehicle related activities amongst local stakeholders in government and industry. Through approximately 100 coalitions nationwide and a network of over 6,500 stakeholders, Clean Cities provides a forum for members to leverage their resources, develop joint projects, collaborate on public policy issues, and promote clean air alternative fuel and advanced technology vehicles in their communities.
