Dura-Crust

Wrapping up this 4 mile stretch in far west Texas this week. Dust suppression was not the main goal here since you can see dust on the paved roads in that region. Reducing recurring maintenance costs is the main goal. Now they can do dust suppression with topical applications of Dura-Crust which will bind to the new road surface and become a more permanent solution. This private road was treated by Shannon of GG Cain Custom Home Builder in McKinney, Texas. Nice results done with a box blade, a water truck and a compactor. It's just this simple.

I thought I would do regular updates on this boat ramp since it is only a few miles from our warehouse. I went by there yesterday and it was completely under water from the bull tide (learned a new term). Here is the response from the country on how it has held up: "I passed by it today and after all the heavy rains and the bull tide that section has held up beyond what I expected it to, we haven't had to dress it up one time."

So here is the after/after picture of the boat ramp area in Dickinson, Texas. This picture was taken after an overnight soaking rain. Some of the puddles are still visible. Notice there are no ruts where the cars drove right through the area.
