#ShopSmall this holiday season in #DowntownDelray where 96% of our businesses are small, independently owned shops. Monica Kaufmann's father, Emil, started @KaufmanndeSuisse in 1954 and became one of the most respected jewelry designers in the world! Monica continues her father's legacy and recently moved Kaufmann de Suisse from Worth Avenue on Palm Beach (where she was in business for 26 years) to Pineapple Grove in Delray Beach. She is a diamond and jewelry expert and loves offering a personal experience to her clients. If you're looking for a gift that really sparkles, make sure to #ShopLocal, stop by Kaufmann de Suisse and ask for Monica.

This is WHY you should #ShopSmall on #SmallBusinessSaturday (November 30th) and throughout the holiday season. Because of legacy businesses like women's designer boutique Nina Raynor that has been a part of #DowntownDelray since 1958. The original store (pictured here) was where the Seagate Hotel is now on Atlantic Avenue east of the bridge. Then it moved across the street and now, it's on Federal Highway just north of Atlantic Avenue. In 1983 - Nina sold the store to Robert and Joanne Wollenberg, whose family now runs the evening wear boutique, continuing the tradition that was started almost 67 years ago.

Visitors to our #VillageByTheSea will now find it easier to get around in #DowntownDelray! The City is installing these new signs called wayfinding signs that will help drivers find their way to the beach or parking garages or places like the Spady Museum. Our Delray Beach Downtown Development Authority Executive Director, Laura Simon, was on the committee that worked with the CRA and consulting firm Kimley-Horn to come up with this design. We are VERY EXCITED to see this project come to fruition!
