That’s why No Kid Hungry, a national campaign to end childhood hunger in America, is uniting with national brands like Dole to help ensure every child has a full plate now and throughout the new year ahead. It was a monumental 125th Dole Banana-Versary weekend at the Novant Health Charlotte Marathon! 🏃♂️ 🏃♀️ Memories were made, bananas were eaten and personal goals were achieved. We had a blast at the expo and enjoyed cheering on our health-focused Dole-sponsored runners as they took to the course, running through the heart of the Queen City. Everyone who participated locally from Dole had such a fun time interacting with family and new friends. Congrats to all runners and a huge thank you to all of our wonderful Dole volunteers for making this event a memorable one. 🍌 💛

Yesterday, Dole's nutritionist Melanie Marcus was at WCCB Charlotte's CW, sharing Dole's role as the official banana of the Novant Health Charlotte Marathon and discussing how bananas provide essential fuel for athletes from training to race day 🍌   Melanie highlighted our go-to banana-based recipes for optimal race prep, including a Vegan Plantain Smash Burger with Banana Aioli for pre-race carb-loading and Gluten-Free Banana Bread or Banana Brownie Batter Energy Bites for that final boost.   Dole is proud to support athletes and champion our commitment to health and nutrition. We understand the sometimes harsh reality of Mother Nature’s effects—not only on crops but also on whole communities and their people. The recent devastation from Hurricanes Helene and Milton on our nation’s southeast coastal areas has been a striking example. To assist those most affected by these extreme weather events, Dole is donating fresh bananas, plantains, and pineapples as well as financial contributions through local charities and partners. Dole has donated hundreds of thousands of bananas with Food Lion to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina in North Carolina and Feeding Tampa Bay in Florida. While we know this small gesture won’t resolve the hardships, we hope to at least provide a helping hand during these difficult times.
