  • As automation transforms industries, the demand for a new kind of talent is growing—those who excel in the distinctly human skills of collaboration, creativity, and problem-solving within diverse teams. At District C, we believe preparing students for the future of work means equipping them with these skills through hands-on, real-world experiences. At the core of Teamship is teamwork—an essential skill for navigating the evolving workforce. By fostering the ability to work in diverse teams to solve complex problems, we prepare students for the uniquely human challenges that automation can’t solve. • Talk about taking a leap of faith! Meet Scott Miller, a Lead Coach and Programs Specialist at District C. Scott’s journey didn’t follow the traditional path. Originally planning to become an English teacher, life took a thrilling turn when he discovered a passion for skydiving. After spending 15 years as a certified skydiving instructor, Scott joined the District C team last year. So, what do skydiving and preparing students for the #futureofwork have in common? Plenty! As Scott puts it, “I love helping people accomplish things they’re not sure they’re capable of doing. District C gives us the opportunity to do that on a regular basis.” Whether it’s teaching someone to leap out of a plane or excel in their District C coaching certification, Scott brings the same energy, dedication, and enthusiasm to every challenge. We’re grateful for Scott’s commitment and the incredible impact he makes on students, educators, and partners alike! Swipe ⏩️ to learn more about Scott

🎉 Empowering Students to Solve Real-World Problems with Duquesne City 🎉 Shoutout to Duquesne City School District and Superintendent Dr. Sue Mariani for their incredible partnership in launching District C’s Teamship program for 7th- and 8th-grade students! 🙌 This year, students in the District C elective class are collaborating with Duquesne City to reimagine Polish Hill Park. Through our Teamship process—diversity, launch, solve, and pitch—students are honing critical skills like teamwork, problem-solving, and innovation. 🚀 “It prepares them for a real-world experience as they develop skills to help them with their careers,” says Adam Ryan, the program’s ELA teacher. What makes this project so special? It’s deeply personal. Students are tackling a challenge that directly impacts their community, working to deliver solutions that matter. Whether it’s designing a water park or improving accessibility, students are applying real-world skills across disciplines like math, science, and graphic design to craft meaningful pitches. We’re so inspired by the creativity and dedication of these students and grateful to Duquesne City School District for helping make this possible. 💡 📖 Read the full story here: [https://lnkd.in/gkSHvFWU] #Teamship #WorkBasedLearning #CTE #FutureOfWork #EducationInnovation
