There’s one thing you can always count on in January in Wisconsin (besides frigid temps): the return of Joey’s Song. This annual fundraising event—aka the #Freezing Man concert series—fights epilepsy with music in honor of Joey Gomoll who passed away just shy of his fifth birthday after experiencing epilepsy his entire life. Attendees can also always count on multi-platinum recording artist and three-time Grammy winner Butch Vig and his band, the Know It All Boyfriends to be the house band. Coming soon is your chance to watch a GLOBAL ice and snow sailing championship being held on Lake Mendota! ❄️ On February 3–8, Madison will be hosting the World Ice and Snow Sailing Championships – a thrilling event where competitors on skis or snowboards will harness windsurfing rigs, kites and sails to race at high speeds across Lake Mendota. Did you know? ⚽ The youth grant helps MadCity Futbol Club pay for indoor league entry fees, so kids can participate in official games. This is very special for many of the players, as it will be their first time being part of a team. 🏆 MadCity Futbol Club was one of 31 local organizations who received Madison Area Sports Commission youth grants this year.
