DAA's Advisory Board Spotlight: Introducing Pauline Scanlon! This spotlight is more than just an introduction; it's an invitation to explore the passions that fuel our Advisory Board members' collective efforts to make a difference! What makes you, you? Life experiences and lessons, my personality, family and friends, skills, strengths and weaknesses make me who I am today. What does being a DAA Advisory Board member mean to you? I am honored to have been chosen to be on DAA’s Advisory Board. Being on the Advisory Board allows me to help others who are struggling, and a member that others can rely on. It also allows me to help those already in groups and new members who are struggling with brain disease. I will be able to participate in monthly meetings via Zoom, make suggestions, and vote on any issues that arise. What is one hope you have for the future? Looking to the future I would like others to know me for who I am. I would like to be helpful, and remain compassionate for tasks I’m working on. I also would like to be a resource for others who struggle, and need assistance. I struggle with brain disease and know that it’s really important to have someone to listen, and offer time and advice. I would like to keep smiling, and be a friend to others. #Dementia #Alzheimer #dementiasupport #dementiaawareness #MCI #nonprofit #charity #FTD #lewybody #DementiaCare #DAAAdvisoryBoard #dementiaactionalliance
