  • Our first Stellar Staff Spotlight of 2025 is Bobbi Lynn Cole! Bobbi Lynn has been with Delaware Hospice working as a Registered Nurse for just under two years and loves her role and the people she gets to work with. "Delaware Hospice is an amazing organization. It is evident that the entire organization not only cares about the community but the staff as well. I work with an amazing team of individuals who truly love what they do! To be able to help people transition into an eternal life of no ailments or illness, with dignity, is the most rewarding career I could ever possibly ask for." In her free time, Bobbi Lynn loves spending time with her husband, 4 children, and 4 grandchildren. They even have another grandbaby on the way! The Cole's have an Australian Shepherd pup named Dak who keeps them very busy. Bobbi Lynn also enjoys the occasional round of golf to help decompress from everything life throws her way.

  • This week we are spotlighting our Clinical Supervisor, Tracie Pope! After working as a nurse for 32 years in various pediatric sub-specialties, Tracie felt a calling to pediatric palliative and hospice care. She joined our team in January 2020. "I love interacting with patients and families over the phone and helping my colleagues in the field." When Tracie is away from the office she likes to read, cook, bake bread, and serve in various ministries at her church.

  • Today's Volunteer Spotlight is Sue Ferenbach! Sue has volunteered at Delaware Hospice since 2002 and really enjoys connecting with our patients and hearing their stories. When Sue's father and a dear friend became ill, she was introduced to a few loving hospice volunteers who brought comfort to her in a time of need. Sue realized that she wanted to be able to bring comfort and the same kindness to others that those kind souls brought to her. Sue has quite a few hobbies, to say the least. From kayaking and being outside to reading and cooking, she keeps very busy! As the new year approaches, Delaware Hospice continues to be on the lookout for amazing volunteers such as Sue. • With Santa's arrival only a few short weeks away, our Newark office is in quite a festive mood. 🎅 As Christmas music filled the air, we gathered around the table for our annual holiday potluck with many team members donning their favorite sweaters. We would like to extend a heartfelt 'Thank You' to our Executive Assistant, Rose, and Administrative Assistant, Michelle, for helping to make today such a special day.

  • This week's Stellar Staff Spotlight is our Director of Intake and Admissions, Monet Henry! Monet has now been at Delaware Hospice for just under two years after previously working on a medical-surgical floor at Bayhealth. "My favorite thing about my role is the joy I receive when I help a patient or a family member with something they have been battling for so long and couldn't find answers. Providing those answers and giving them a sense of relief is beyond comforting." Monet loves to be with her family. They enjoy laughing, enjoying a meal together, playing games and just being themselves. She also is a huge fan of swimming. She is the person who opens her pool early and closes it late.
