🏆 We were filled with inspiration watching Data & AI innovation meet social impact yesterday, as DatA-IL Innovation community executive director Rona Perry and our Business development manager Talya Vaish served as judges at the Datahack Datathon! For those who don't know Datahack yet- it is a great NGO, promoting diversity in data science and machine learning, particularly among women and Arab and Druze communities in Israel. Thank you Shay Palachy-Affek and Amier Kardosh for inviting us :) The event showcased four data and AI-driven projects, each addressing significant societal challenges in Israel: *A predictive model for reducing higher education dropout rates among Arab students. *An innovative solution for making websites accessible to for people with vision disabilities *A user-friendly chatbot integrating various data layers from planning authorities for urban planning organizations. *A tool for optimizing emergency room waiting times and hospital care. Congratulations to the winning team for developing their urban planning chatbot! While there's still work ahead, this is an important and needed project, and we're can't wait to see how it evolves. Last week we were proud to speaks with the entrepreneurs from Ignite The Spark. Discussing how AI can be the new silent partner in a Startup. We're always happy to take part in helping entrepreneurs and startups get a leg up and succeed!
𝗘𝗣𝗢𝗧 𝟮𝟰, 𝗦𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝘁 𝗮 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗲! This session invited our pioneers to dive into the challenges of scaling energy startups, uncovering how regulation can act as both a barrier and an enabler, while exploring diverse strategies for achieving impactful growth across multiple perspectives. We kicked off the day with a fascinating tour at Addionics, led by COO Eitan Hochster, who provided an in-depth look into their cutting-edge battery technology. From there, we continued to Herzog, where we received an outstanding welcome (thank you Gal Alcorat!!) and an insightful session on regulation from Mark Phillips and Einat Steiner. Their expertise sparked engaging discussions among our pioneers. One of the day’s highlights was an engaging panel discussion on CVCs and multinational utilities, featuring: Doron Ariel Shpasser, from E.ON Israel Ltd. Rinat Yogev, from GM Ventures Amit Peri, from SE Ventures Roee Furman, from Doral Energy-Tech Ventures Next, we shifted gears with a focused AI workshop led by Talya Vaish from DatA-IL Innovation community that introduced participants to innovative AI tools and approaches. To wrap things up, Eshel Lipman delivered a pinpoint session on Carbon Math, equipping our pioneers with essential knowledge for tackling carbon-related challenges. We’re looking forward to the final session, where our program pioneers will pitch their ideas and share the innovative solutions they’ve been developing. Dr. Danny Bickson from Visual Layer demonstrated their innovative solutions in visual data management, showing how their technology is helping organize, explore, enrich and extract valuable insights for various sectors from healthcare to retail through advanced AI capabilities. @Daniel Leon and Tal Steinherz from Blueskai illustrated their expertise in Gen AI transformation and code modernization, exemplifying how their innovative approach is making AI implementation more accessible and efficient for businesses globally. 🤩 Earlier this week, we held the exciting kickoff meeting for the Generators Program – an accelerator for mini AI ventures! We at DatA-IL Innovation community are proud to be part of this incredible initiative led by Kinneret Innovation Center and Norterra. 💎 The goal of the accelerator is to develop impactful AI business applications. 💻 Over the course of the program, 8 inspiring entrepreneurs will embark on an intensive journey of development, technological and business mentorship, and deep learning. 💻 The program was designed following a thorough needs assessment with business partners, ensuring that the developed solutions address real-world demands. The ventures include: AI solutions for financial guidance and taxation. A project combining AI with fashion. Innovations in agriculture and aquaculture. Automotive solutions and many other fascinating and impactful initiatives. 🤝 At the celebratory meeting, we were thrilled to connect with all the partners involved – including NVIDIA, Shamir Research Institute InnOValley, Fastlane Lauder Employment Center Synergia Ltd, the Initiative, and more.
