The Danaher Foundation is partnering with The Children's Inn at NIH (The National Institutes of Health) to support The Inn’s $50 million renovation and expansion project which recently broke ground and will be completed in 2027. Danaher’s grant will fund a new, covered bridge connecting The Inn to the main NIH clinical building, greatly improving the accessibility and safe passage for families and children staying there while participating in pediatric clinical trials and research studies. The Children’s Inn is a nonprofit organization that provides residential services and a wide range of programs to children, teens, and young adults with rare and serious diseases. The Inn supports over 1,500 families annually by providing “A Place Like Home” at no cost for children and their families who participate in groundbreaking clinical studies and research and receive clinical care at the NIH. #speedoflife
