Ever wonder what makes dairy so much more than just your cereal’s best friend? Paul Windemuller, a DFA farmer-owner in Ohio, has the answers. Check out his top three reasons dairy is a win for your health, the planet and your taste buds as we head into 2025. He wrote in an Instagram post earlier today: 1️⃣ It supports your health with calcium, protein, and vitamin D. 2️⃣ It’s good for the planet, with farmers using sustainable practices. 3️⃣ It comes from farms, like the farmer-owners of @dfamilk, that genuinely care for their cows. And the best part? Real milk’s ingredients are simple — just milk and sometimes vitamin D or A. Be sure to follow Dreamwinds on Instagram for a behind-the-scenes look at dairy farming, innovative technology and the true connection to where our food comes from >> https://bit.ly/3ZZE2kL.

Imagine being able to smell your game-time snacks from six miles away. Cows can do that. Six miles is roughly the length of 110 football fields! This talent isn’t just a survival tool; it’s how they always know when our farmer-owners are hiding treats in their pockets. As we celebrate National Trivia Day and the last weekend of the NFL season, we want to know: If you had a nose like a cow, what snack would you want to sniff out from six miles away? 🏈

Americans ate more dairy than ever in 2023! Did you do your part? 🧀🥛 #ICYMI: A recent USDA Economic Research Service report shows we consumed a record-breaking 661 lbs. of dairy per person. Butter reached its highest level since 1960, and cheese hit a record 42.3 pounds per person (that’s like a car tire worth of cheese)! What dairy product can you not live without in 2025? Let us know your take and read more about these delicious numbers in this Dairy Herd Management >> https://bit.ly/403zkSY.

“Year’s end is neither an end nor a beginning but a going on, with all the wisdom that experience can instill in us.” – Hal Borland, American writer and journalist Here’s our 2024 in 24 seconds! As 2025 approaches, Borland’s words remind us that each year builds on the last. At DFA, the dedication of our farmer-owners and employees reflects a shared commitment to sustainability, innovation and bringing the simple joys of dairy to your table. This past year proved the strength of working together to nourish communities and foster connections. In 2025, we’re excited to keep growing stronger, together.

As we reflect on 2024, one of our most-shared moments came in May when DFA farmer-owner Abbie Herr stepped onto the legendary #Indy500 stage as the Rookie Milk Presenter! Abbie proudly carried on the tradition that began in 1936, presenting milk to the winning team owner and chief mechanic in front of 250,000 fans and millions more worldwide. Representing female dairy farmers, including her two daughters, Abbie’s passion for farming and sustainability earned her recognition as the 2023 Young Dairy Producer of the Year. Next year, Abbie will return as the Senior Milk Presenter, continuing this iconic role. We’re proud of Abbie’s achievements and can’t wait to see her shine again in 2025. If you made it to the winner’s circle, what kind of real milk would you choose: Whole, 2% or skim? 📸: Courtesy of American Dairy Association Indiana Inc.

We’ve had so much fun partnering with farmer-owners through our #DFACreator network to inspire, entertain and educate our social communities. Like so many of our farmer-owners, Kate Spadgenske is part of a multi-generational legacy. In July, she shared a heartfelt tribute to her parents for #NationalParentsDay. In her post, she wrote, “It’s no secret that growing up on a farm means you get to spend a lot of time together, but what my parents may not have known was that even though they weren’t always in teaching mode, I was always taking notes.” We're #DFAProud to share moments like these and look forward to many more in 2025!

Over the next few days, we're sharing some of our favorite posts and moments from 2024. This was a fan favorite across our social communities from National Honesty Day. We’re spilling the truth on #NationalHonestyDay. Unlike the imitators, real milk doesn’t need to fib — it’s nutritious, wholesome, sustainably made and only from cows! From a clean label to high-quality standards, real milk is honestly good. Cheers to keeping it real! 🥛 Give your family the very best. Find a DFA farmer-owned brand near you >> https://bit.ly/3hnuVEB.
