It’s Tank Trouble Tuesday! A fueling facility in Tanknology's Midwest region requested a TankCam® inspection of a 10,000 gallon fiberglass tank to inspect for undesirable conditions or abnormal operating conditions. The tank held premium unleaded. The inspection found that the visible debris and sediment on the lower half of the tank. Bubbling was observed inside of the tank, originating from a crack or hole in the lower tank wall or tank bottom. The inspection also found peeling at the tank seam and blistering on a large area of the tank wall and endcap. A fueling facility in Tanknology's Northeast region requested a TankCam® inspection of a lined 10,000 gallon fiberglass tank to inspect for undesirable conditions or abnormal operating conditions. The tank held regular unleaded. The inspection revealed no major lining failures inside the tank, but did reveal a small amount of sediment and debris on the tank bottom. The facility also requested a TankClean® Remote Video UST Cleaning. The tank held regular unleaded.The inspection revealed sludge at the bottom of the tank, which was removed by the TankClean process. The tank was later returned to service.
