How is Artificial Intelligence saving lives in Veteran Care? From early cancer detection to accelerating research, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming healthcare for Veterans. CVP, in partnership with MBL Technologies Inc. through our joint venture Olympus Alpha, is proud to support the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) National Artificial Intelligence Institute (NAII) with the release of the 2024 VA Artificial Intelligence (AI) Use Case Inventory. This inventory ensures that AI is used safely, effectively, and fairly to improve care for Veterans. Medication safety refers to the practices and measures implemented to minimize the risk of medication errors and adverse drug events in various settings across the healthcare continuum. It is a critical process for protecting patients from harm and improving healthcare quality. Since 2000, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality has supported 123 patient safety projects related to enhancing medication safety. In partnership with AFYA INC, CVP has summarized AHRQ's investments in this pathway toward safer care, including project findings, outputs, and impacts. Bottom line: improvements in medication safety can make a big difference for patients and providers.
