“Conservative management strategies often fail to control pain adequately, and pharmaceutical treatments involve unwanted side effects. With the development of specialized technology, peripheral nerve stimulation (PNS) has emerged as a treatment for pain caused by peripheral neuralgias that cannot be managed with conservative strategies.¹” This study included 14 patients who received a permanent Freedom® PNS System for treating chronic pain related to peripheral neuropathy. Study patients were diagnosed with chronic, intractable pain that originated from a peripheral nerve with a Verbal Rating Scale (VRS) score of at least 5/10. Just released! We are thrilled to showcase the new evidence-based consensus guidelines from the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians (ASIPP), showing the importance of PNS as a standard of care for chronic pain management, to optimize long-term patient outcomes. Four multi-disciplinary studies using the Curonix Freedom® PNS System, which is cleared for total body applications, met the rigorous inclusion standards and are referenced in the guidelines (pages S147, S155-S156). These four studies highlighted 213 patients who were treated for chronic pain with a permanent implant of the Freedom PNS System in various locations throughout the body. These long-term studies further substantiate that the Freedom PNS System is a safe and effective treatment option for chronic pain management.
