In partnership with Skift, we set out to research how hotels can measure revenue growth from awareness and reputation. In this report: 🗯️ A new survey of more than 700 affluent travelers and 300 luxury and lifestyle hotel brand executives: Find out how each segment defines “luxury travel” and where gaps exist between the two. 🗯️ 81% of travelers said that they trust established travel media brands for recommendations, while less than 25 percent said that social media influences their discovery and booking processes: See how they interact with brands and brand-building campaigns. 🗯️ 68% of travelers are more likely to book a luxury hotel based on travel media recommendations than on hotel ads or direct offers: Learn what this means about the changing role of travel media in luxury hotel marketing strategies. 👉 Download for free to reevaluate your marketing strategies and consider a holistic approach that appropriately incorporates multichannel media activations and accurate attribution models.

Thanks for sharing, Rafat Ali!
CEO/Founder, Skift. Status update. Now with even more perpetual exhaustion: dad of two hyperactive boys and an impish girl.
I really liked this new report our brand studio SkiftX has produced with Curacity on how luxury travel & hospitality brands build their awareness, reputation and revenues through travel media, what the state of travel media is today, how consumers look at it and how revenues and attribution flow through the system. Lotsa challenges on what travel media is today, but it still has lotsa relevance on the luxury end of things. Worth a read. 🎯

Having worked in media, marketing, and/or travel pretty much my entire career, I had a lot of personal interest and investment in this one. Thanks to the folks at Curacity for coming to Skift with a really sharp idea for research. It was really fun to explore with them how the "luxury and lifestyle" segment of travel is changing and where there are disconnects between travelers and hoteliers on what that experience should look like. All of that said, the core of the report is a deep dive into the massive role that specialized travel media plays in helping people choose luxury hotels, and most importantly, how hotels can now link brand awareness to bookings in ways they've never been able to do before. In other words: Don't let them tell you that email marketing doesn't work... https://lnkd.in/ewxEFH-9
