The event also embodied the true spirit of the holidays—giving back. Coterie Cathedral Hill held a toy drive in partnership with the San Francisco Fire Department while Coterie Hudson Yards worked with Citymeals on Wheels to provide holiday meals for those who are less fortunate. Whether meeting a renowned journalist to discuss jazz legends or marveling at the creative energy of the city, each experience fuels connection, curiosity, and inspiration. In the heart of NYC, our residents don’t just live near the culture—they’re part of it.

This Thanksgiving, we gathered with family and friends to celebrate all we’re grateful for. Our cocktail reception set the tone for a festive dinner featuring delicious dishes prepared by our talented culinary team. From perfectly roasted turkey to seasonal favorites, every bite was a reminder of the joy that comes with sharing a meal together. We’re thankful for the moments we shared, the laughter we heard, and the memories we made.

“I feel happy and grateful working here—it’s like being part of a family,” says Ranjana, a Wellness Assistant at Coterie Cathedral Hill. Over the past two years, she has grown from a role in housekeeping to providing direct care for residents. For Ranjana, her work is about more than tasks—it’s about connection. “I feel like the residents are my family members. I love being with them, communicating, and caring for them,” she shares. Her compassion and kindness shine through in her interactions. Ranjana is also grateful for the opportunities she’s had to grow within the company. “This place has changed my life,” she explains. Thank you, Ranjana, for the care and warmth you bring to the community every day.

At Coterie, we love helping residents immerse themselves in the culture and history their cities have to offer. Sometimes that means enjoying a night at the opera, taking a stroll through a community park, or exploring an iconic local landmark. Sometimes, it’s a bit more adventurous. Last week, residents at Coterie Hudson Yards took a candlelight tour of the catacombs beneath the Basilica of St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral. Residents explored areas typically off-limits to the public. The historic catacombs, dating back more than 200 years, are the resting place of prominent New Yorkers. It was an evening of mystery and history, offering a behind-the-scenes glimpse into one of New York City’s intriguing landmarks.

On Veterans Day, we gathered to celebrate the veterans who live and work at Coterie. At Hudson Yards, a heartfelt toast was followed by a live performance of patriotic songs by a talented pianist. We’re grateful to our veterans for their courage and dedication.

Our Fall Harvest Market was a wonderful celebration of the season! Residents enjoyed live music, sipped on seasonal cocktails, and danced while exploring local artisan booths.

Our Halloween gathering embraced an air of mystery and elegance. With exquisitely crafted appetizers, tarot readings, and a mesmerizing performance by a hypnotist, residents indulged in an extraordinary night of mystery and refinement.
