I have had two conversations this week with Executives who shared how stressed, strained, burnt out, and in turmoil they are, and I don't think this is unusual. The conversations invited me to get honest about my own work-life imbalance and the internal challenges and conflict that occur when high performers-- well, perform. All these leaders exercise. They put nutritious food in their bodies. Everyone I talked to (including myself) have a coach and a therapist to integrate how they show up for themselves and others. But these practices, while important, are like a daily drink of water when what we need is a pool.
