As an Advisory Board Member for the Master of Public Administration Program at Purdue Global, Councilwoman Catherine Rowell (District 1) will provide feedback as an external expert to guide and improve their academic programs. The Master of Public Administration program teaches students to evaluate, implement, and manage policy and to make ethical and effective decisions in the interest of creating public value. They will develop the skills and techniques to provide leadership in a wide variety of public service fields.

Our City of South Fulton employees had a wonderful time decorating a stunning Christmas tree with custom ornaments featuring the city logo. Participants got to sign the back of their ornament and write a holiday message. It was a joyful moment of coming together, sipping hot chocolate, and making our tree extra special! The decorated tree is currently on display at the Frederick Administration building located at 4715 Frederick Dr SW which houses the City Manager’s Office, Human Resources, IT, Finance, Community Relations and Services, and Public Affairs.

The City of South Fulton celebrated its first tree lighting ceremony earlier this month and and what a magical night it was! Community members from all over the city gathered for hot cocoa and cookies while enjoying a gleeful holiday performance from the COSF Parks and Recreation Youth Choir. The night concluded with the unveiling of a spectacular 30-foot Christmas tree that is currently on display at City Hall. The holiday cheer doesn’t stop there! The spirit of the season is shining brightly all around the city with sparkling new holiday lights at the following locations: -Old National Hwy -Campbellton and Camp Creek - Boat Rock - Palmetto Cascade Hwy and Cedar Grove - Butner Rd and Stonewall Tell A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this dream a reality including COSF General Services, the Department of Parks and Recreation, City Council, City Manager Sharon Subadan, and Great American Cookies. We’re already looking forward to making this a cherished tradition for years to come!
