Throughout his career, he has led the development of innovative systems and services, launched new academic programs, and driven record enrollment growth, generating revenue increases of 80% to 600%. His leadership has directly contributed to the enrollment of approximately 25,000 students across the institutions he has served. Framing the “why” and “why now” is essential to any growth journey. Without a clear purpose and understanding of what matters most, growth journeys risk becoming unfocused and ineffective. Standing still isn’t maintaining the status quo; it’s moving backward. Institutions that fail to adapt to changing realities face irrelevance. Yet, too often, growth is seen as optional. The greatest risk is doing nothing. Growth forces us to confront tough questions: Why should we grow? Why now? But more importantly, what happens if we don’t? Doing nothing guarantees regression. That said, growth for its own sake can be just as dangerous. It can stretch resources thin and divert focus from an institution’s core strengths. It’s not about expanding for the sake of it—it’s about strategic growth that aligns with long-term goals and fortifies the institution’s future. The time for reflection has passed; now is the time for decisive action. Frame the “why,” assess your starting point, and unite your community around what truly matters.
