We are honored to have sponsored the West Virginia Peer Recovery Support Services and Recovery Housing Conference held this week in Charleston.  The event commenced with an inspiring and personal presentation by Dr. Loyd, the Executive Director of the West Virginia Office of Drug Control Policy.  His talk, titled “Addiction Is Not a Moral Failure,” delved into the neurological underpinnings of addiction, emphasizing its nature as a brain disorder.  Dr. Loyd also highlighted the significant roles of genetics, trauma, and various risk factors in addiction, fostering a deeper understanding of the elements that constitute a recovery-oriented ecosystem.

Each year, Cordata Healthcare Innovations proudly participates in a company event dedicated to giving back to the community. This year, we were honored to volunteer with DAV (Disabled American Veterans), an organization that provides numerous opportunities to support our nation’s heroes. Our team contributed by making Forget-Me-Nots, which will aid DAV in raising essential funds for veterans. #veterans #giveback #volunteer

Proud and excited to be co-presenting with Ascend Innovations and Cordata Health at the 2025 PAARI deflection conference in Tampa Fla. We will be presenting data on the effect our outreach team has on persons with SUD lessening use on our health and legal systems after even just one successful contact. I set a goal late last year with my peer supervisor Randy Carmack for us to be presenting on a national stage by 2025 and we are going to meet that goal!! See you all at the end of February ☺️

Last week, the #EssexCounty Division of Community Health Services hosted a Deflection Training with local law enforcement, first responders, and service providers. Thank you to our colleagues from the Opioid Response Network for bringing this opportunity to our county and our partners from Family Connections, Inc. and their #ADAPT Coalition for hosting us and providing great resources for the attendees. Our trainer, Scott Allen, from Operation 2 Save Lives (O2SL) and QRT National brought his real world experiences to our county and helped attendees find ways to operationalize their deflection skills in the field. His passion for the work of helping individuals suffering from #OpioidUseDisorder was eminent and energized attendees to help support residents of our county. We look forward to continuing the work with our local and national partners to address the #OpioidCrisis impacting our local communities.

Exploring Data Sharing Agreements: Change Ideas for State Medicaid and CHIP Improving Timely Health Care for Children and Youth in Foster Care Always appreciative of ACF and CMS for providing invaluable guidance and tools to support quality improvements emphasizing services that elevate caring for the genuine needs of children and families on a daily basis.  One particularly crucial aspect highlighted in the guidance is the importance for establishing meaningful data sharing agreements and the pivotal role it plays in having accurate, timely healthcare information regarding children in out-of-home care.
