Pearl is a hospice patient who is bravely battling terminal cancer. Despite the immense challenges she faces, Pearl has expressed a heartfelt wish; to have a five-generation family photo with her great-grandson and newest great-great-granddaughter. Through our Senior Wish program we were able to purchase plane tickets to ensure that this wish was granted. We were so deeply moved by Pearl's courage and the importance she places on creating this meaningful memento for her loved ones. This 5 generational photo isn’t just a picture for Pearl, it’s a beautiful legacy that will be cherished for years to come. As we reflect on this beautiful occasion, it’s essential to acknowledge how much these moments matter—not just for Pearl, but for all families striving to create lasting memories together. This wish serves as an inspiring reminder that we should prioritize spending quality time with loved ones, no matter how far apart life takes us.

The CNS Honor Salute Program recognizes hospice patients who are veterans. It is a simple but powerful tribute of appreciation for the veteran’s service to our country. James served in the Army as a Specialist Third Class. He was a member of the local American Legion Post 47. A few of his American Legion brothers in arms presented this heartfelt Honor Salute.

November is Hospice Month. While many fear hospice, it’s often misunderstood. Myths like “hospice means giving up” or “only the dying can receive care” cloud the beauty of this essential service. Hospice honors life’s final chapter by prioritizing comfort and quality. Let’s break the stigma together!
