In 2024, CMHA proudly celebrated our 90th anniversary with a record-breaking year, investing $275 million in the development of Housing for All! This marks the largest investment in the nearly 100-year history of our organization. But we’re not stopping there—2025 is poised to be even more groundbreaking, with over $300 million in planned development activity! A few projects in the works and on the horizon include: Broadleigh Lofts: Construction will conclude in 2025, and leasing will begin in late spring/early summer. This community is near the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Chalmers P. Wylie outpatient clinic and includes supportive services specific to our Veteran heroes. This is in partnership with our friends at Woda Cooper Companies, Inc.. Heights on Main: This upcoming new community in the heart of City Of Reynoldsburg will offer mixed-income affordable housing. CMHA recently received a 9% Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) competitive award from Ohio Housing Finance Agency to help fund this project. Rosebrook: This is CMHA's third partnership with Columbus Housing Enterprise, and it will provide naturally occurring affordable housing to Central Ohio residents. We were grateful for the chance to share our perspectives and connect with business leaders who are committed to making a meaningful difference in our state. This weekend, CMHA staff helped prepare the tiny homes of Vista Village to welcome their first residents. Volunteers picked out furniture and decor donated for the homes by the local community, assembled beds, tables, and chairs, and staged the homes so residents can feel at home as soon as they move in. Vista Village is a non-profit, faith-based developer, who provides transitional housing (tiny homes) and supportive services for individuals who've experienced homelessness. CMHA is proud to provide Vista Village with a $72,000 sponsorship to provide housing and on-site services for four individuals through 2027.

Thank you Ohio Housing Finance Agency and Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing for hosting an impactful CEO Roundtable discussion on economic impact and housing at this year's Ohio Housing Conference. The conversation featuring our CEO, Charles D. Hillman and panelists Keli Savage, CPA from CVS Health/Aetna and Rob Wasserman from Huntington Bank, expertly moderated by Amy (Wright) Riegel of Coalition on Homelessness & Housing in Ohio (COHHIO), highlighted the crucial intersection of housing, healthcare, and financial services in our communities. Special thanks to Shawn Smith and Catherine Cawthon for putting together such a meaningful conference that brings together leaders across sectors to address Ohio's housing challenges.
