Based in Portland, Oregon, Columbia Sportswear Company (NASDAQ: COLM) is a global outdoor brand that crafts active lifestyle gear fortified with industry-leading technologies and tested in our backyard. Our apparel, footwear, and accessories reflect our Pacific Northwest heritage and indomitable spirit. Over the last 80 years, Columbia and our family of brands, Sorel, prAna, and Mountain Hardwear, have grown to over 10,000 employees and proudly sell products in over 100 countries. At Columbia, we're as passionate about the outdoors as you are. And while our gear is available around the world, we're proud to be based in the Pacific Northwest where the lush forests, snow-covered mountains, rugged coastline, and wide-open spaces serve as our playground. This is where we hike, fish, hunt, camp, climb, shred, paddle, golf, run, and just enjoy the fresh air with friends. We hope to see you out there. Columbiasportswearcompany.com #GetOutside

  • A few weeks ago, Columbia received an invitation from Highsnobiety to participate in a panel discussion on the use of innovative technology in outdoor apparel and equipment at ISPO 2024. Haskell Beckham, our VP of Innovation, had the exciting opportunity to travel to Munich and engage in conversation that was centered around increasing performance and access to the outdoors through innovation. A topic that is very familiar to the Columbia brand as we strive to unlock the outdoors for everyone. In addition to speaking on the panel, Haskell was able to check out our featured products with Outdry Extreme Technology in person as they were proudly displayed among those “defining and radically redefining” the outdoor landscape. #LifeatCSC

  • Meet Daniel Flores, Digital Sales Manager at the Geneva office, and born with a strong growth mindset. Daniel finds passion in everything he does. It was true when he started working in a petrol station, still true when he was unpacking samples, and even truer when he joined Columbia Sportswear at the Barcelona office in 2021. His recipe for success? Set a goal for yourself and turn the ordinary into the extraordinary. #LifeatCSC #UnlockYourPotential

  • Our Consumer Digital Technology team in India recently enjoyed an enriching retreat in Gokarna, Karnataka. Their adventure included a trek through Yana Caves, a serene walk among the Sharavati Mangroves, and a competitive yet friendly volleyball match on Gokarna Beach. Along with their active pursuits, they also participated in hands-on activities to build team connectivity. The retreat served as a memorable way to connect with nature, and each other and celebrate their accomplishments over the year as a team. #LifeatCSC

  • Our Leadership Excellence Acceleration Program (LEAP) is a leadership development program focused on developing our high-potential people managers to accelerate the growth of themselves, their teams, and their organizations. Each year participants are selected from all of Columbia Sportswear Company’s business groups, countries, and brands (Mountain Hardwear, SOREL, prAna, and Columbia). For the 2024 LEAP Program, we had a total of 45 participants, spanning across 10 different countries. Participants were engaged in peer coaching circles, senior leadership connections and involved in 4 workshops that focused on topics such as emotional intelligence. We are incredibly proud of the dedication participants invested in this year’s program and greatly appreciate the knowledge they showcased in their closing presentations. Congratulations to our 2024 LEAP cohort! #lifeatcsc

Leave No Trace has helped so many people, us included, to enjoy the outdoors responsibly through education. We’re honored to receive the award for their 2024 Corporate Partner of the Year based on the employee volunteer project in one of our local Bay Area parks, which gained over 100 hours of service, and the efforts from MHW Team Athletes Scott Lehmann & Shayna Unger (@scottandshayna) as Leave No Trace Ambassadors, who provided free education to over 1,000 participants at outdoor festivals this year.    Stay tuned for an exciting Leave No Trace x MHW product capsule launching this spring!   #LeaveNoTrace #ItsYourNature

  • Our prAna retail teams in Portland, Oregon, and Boulder Colorado hosted their annual team-building days! For the 3rd year in a row, the retail teams could set aside time to enjoy time together and celebrate their team before heading into the holiday season. Despite the snow flurries and cold temperatures, our Boulder team spent the afternoon at Top Golf. While no hole-in-ones were made, the team had fun trying! The Portland team was invited to check out the newest location of the Portland Rock Gym, which will be opening soon. They received an early access invite, a special tour, and time to boulder. #lifeatprana #lifeatcsc

  • Have you ever wondered how we develop our own technologies to keep people outdoors longer? We employ a team of mad scientists, of course. Our Omni-heat Arctic technology was developed after the Innovation team studied polar bears and mimicked the way their fur interacts with both solar energy and their own body heat to keep themselves warm in their environment. The research conducted by Haskell Beckham, VP of Innovation, David Stark, Innovation Program Manager, and Patrick Marshall, Sr. Research & Development Engineer, was recently reviewed and selected by a panel of peer scientists for publication. The article, "Exploring the Role of Skin Pigmentation in the Thermal Regulation of Polar Bears and Its Implications in the Development of Biomimetic Outdoor Apparel", is available through the Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute (MDPI), a leading open access publisher, or you can read it here: https://bit.ly/3YP8P35 Kudos to the team for their major accomplishment and continuous efforts in expanding our technologies! #lifeatcsc
