Sam Bernzweig, a 17-year-old Eastmoor resident and rising senior at Columbus Torah Academy, had plenty of time and nothing to do last summer. So, to fill that time he started making bagels after stumbling upon a how-to bagel-making video. According to Sam, that casual social media surf has blossomed into a business for the new entrepreneur. “Typically when people ask me how I started, I tell them that because I’m Jewish it’s in my DNA, but really I was just bored, so I decided to try bagel-making out,” he told the Columbus Jewish News. “I tried the recipe and was amazed at my success. After that, I began to make bagels every Sunday until it became a tradition. Every week, I would make about two dozen bagels and give them out to friends in the community.”
