Empowering communities through nature's healing and stewardship, fostering wellness and environmental harmony.

About us

Clement Waters empowers communities through nature’s healing and environmental stewardship. Because nature profoundly affects physical and mental health, we strive to make safe, calming nature experiences accessible to all. Our mission is to elevate healing spaces and restore a cooperative balance between humanity and nature, to empower us all. Programs: • Team Naturespace: This program transforms underutilized urban areas into vibrant, sustainable green spaces through volunteer effort, leaning on community engagement to plan and maintain local nature immersion spaces. Volunteers improve degraded natural habitats at events that call for care of self, community, and the environment. • Nature's Peaceful Paths: Guided nature immersion therapy sessions hosted in community-centered green spaces alleviate stress and promote healing. Certified guides with diverse backgrounds lead participants through therapeutic experiences that rely upon the natural world. Sessions include mindfulness practices, nature-sourced nutrition, and nature observation in natural settings. • Wellness Retreats with Nature: Partnering practitioners organize specialty transformative retreat experiences, leveraging Clement Waters’ event-organizing expertise, secular ceremonial design skills, and nature-cooperation knowledgebase. Partners comfortably produce supported retreats that foster personal growth and deep connections with nature, by design. Impact: • Community Wellness: By providing access to nature therapy and green spaces, we help improve physical and mental health outcomes. • Environmental Stewardship: Our projects enhance urban biodiversity, improve air and water quality, and promote sustainable practices. • Inclusivity and Accessibility: We ensure that our programs and green spaces are inclusive and accessible to all, fostering a sense of belonging. Join us in creating a healthier future for all. Together, we can make lasting change for our communities and the environment.

  • Many thanks to Jim and Judy Vokac for their homestead hosting last weekend as we planned the Clement Waters Board Retreat with chef Naomi Minahan. Board members serve 3-5 hours per month & attend board retreat in person. Join & connect people to nature's healing ways. 💚🌱

  • This year our volunteers and board have been uniting people with nature through community greenspace stewardship and nature therapy. It seems natural now, and we are ready to deepen our role as service providers. Drawing on research, our ANFT training, local case studies, and community relationships, we’ve identified a vital top priority: Deliver accessible nature therapy to marginalized groups. But there’s one problem: Patients must feel safe in the natural environment to activate the body's healing response. People who experience exclusion sometimes feel unsafe in natural settings. Our answer: Train a diverse roster of nature therapy guides to help nature bring on the parasympathetic immune responses that help fight chronic conditions. Thanks to consultants Iyabo Dedmon (of ThriveOn Concepts) and Mallory Rahe (of University of Missouri Extension) we’re aiming for significant impact using their astute strategic planning guidance. To achieve that planned impact, we seek folks who love nature and know business to join the ranks of our board. Link a friend to https://lnkd.in/gzUsTgdM or share this post. You should consider putting your own hat in the ring as well. Our nominating committee is excited to hear from you and your nature-loving friends!
