The City of Napa is currently seeking a Water Control Systems Analyst in our Water Treatment Division in the Utilities Department. The City of Napa Utilities Water Division supplies clean, safe, reliable drinking water to over 86,000 customers throughout the City of Napa and unincorporated Napa County. The Department includes three sections including engineering and administration, distribution, and water treatment. The control systems & electrical team is an integral part of the treatment section. The Utilities Department owns and operates two conventional water treatment plants (20 MGD each) that treat water from the State Water Project and from a City owned reservoir and a third seasonal treatment plant (3MGD) that treats another smaller but pristine local reservoir. As the Water Control Systems Analyst, you will report to the Water Control Systems Superintendent, and be responsible for designing, developing, commissioning and troubleshooting control system components including HMIs, SCADA systems, virtualized servers, PLCs, instrumentation and communication systems to enhance equipment reliability and meet operational needs. You will also be tasked with upgrading existing systems as new technology dictates, patching systems to maintain cyber-security compliance and to mitigate cyber risks. The selected candidate will require hands-on experience with control systems, manage multiple internal projects simultaneously, and develop detailed manuals and technical documentation. The control systems & electrical team plays a critical role in ensuring 24/7 operational uptime by maintaining stability and reliability of SCADA and control system components by continuously monitoring system performance, identifying anomalies and responding to emergency needs as required. [para español👇] 📢⭐ City Council Community Update! ⭐ Check out the following updates from the December 17 City Council meeting. 📈 Special Presentations: Napa City Council received special presentations recognizing Senator Bill Dodd, Planning Commissioner Gordon Huether, Utilities Director Phil Brun and Councilmember Liz Alessio for their commitment to public service and contributions to the City of Napa. 🗣️Administrative Report: Napa City Council received a financial update as part of the Economic Development Dashboard along with a supplemental presentation from Dr. Robert Eyler on the City's key performance indicators and economic health. Napa City Council also received a Council Spotlight reports on the Community Development Department Economic Development Division and the Street Pavement and Sidewalk Repair Programs. City Council also appointed a Councilmember as 2025 Vice Mayor and discussed the City Council Vacancy appointment process for the anticipated District 1 Council Vacancy. 👥 Consent Calendar: Napa City Council received the Annual Appointments List highlighting upcoming vacancies for City Boards, Commissions and Committee, the Monthly Budget and Investment Statement and the Annual Report on Development Impact Fees. Napa City Council also approved amendments to the Municipal Code related to regulations on trailers and oversized vehicles and parking exceeding 72 hours. Napa City Council also approved the continuation of the emergency repair of Browns Valley Creek at Tall Grass Drive Bridge, summary vacation of a waterline easement affecting property at Redwood Plaza and an amendment to the agreement for on-call architectural consulting services with TLCD Architecture.
