Once again CISOs Connect has outdone themselves by putting on an extraordinary event! With the always thrilling Shark Tanks, extremely relevant topical presentations, intimate 1:1 relationship-building meetings, interactive roundtable discussions, engaging and delicious dinners, and even a mostly nameless (to protect the awkward) dance floor - **ahem... see comment below :)** - #CISOsConnect Miami earlier this week was indeed an event to remember. Thank you to Aimee Rhodes, David Cass, Amanda Ortiz, and the entire CISOs Connect team - along with my amazing peers in the industry - for making it so valuable and unforgettable. This community, the incredible people who lead it, and the global CISOs who make it so exceptional, continue to elevate each other. We may come from different organizations, but ultimately, we have a "one team" mentality. In order to be at the top of your field in cybersecurity, you have to have strong relationships, colleagues, and allies in the defense against bad actors. Having a strong network gives you access to more information, resources, and counsel from some of the best CISOs in the world. It's also more fun. If you're not involved with this group, come on already! Your #network is your #networth. Invest your time and attention in the people around you... and choose your "team" well.

What an incredible week so far here in Spain! I was invited to be a part of an international delegation with #CISOsConnect, #CyberTalentSpain, and #AlmaInnova, amazing organizations each. So far, we've established new relationships (and deepened existing ones), provided insight to Spanish cyber companies about effectively entering the US market, learned a lot about the cyber climate in Spain, and eaten the most amazing food (and even more/better drinks)! A few highlights from Day 1 of the #ENiSE Conference in Leon: ++ 🔍 Cyber Resilience & AI: The intersection of AI and cybersecurity took center stage. It’s clear that AI will continue to redefine both threat landscapes and our defensive strategies in the years ahead. ++ 💡 Challenges in the Financial Sector: Insightful panel on cybersecurity in LATAM financial markets – a reminder of the global nature of these threats and the critical need for international collaboration. ++ ☁️ Cloud Adoption for Cybersecurity: The discussion on cloud adoption was quite interesting. It’s one thing to implement cloud; it’s another to make it a security strength for your organization. ++ 🌐 Connecting with industry leaders across the globe reminds me of how essential collaboration is in driving security innovation.
