ROLE: STUDIO MANAGER (Part Time) • Location: Bushey, London • Hours: 2 days a week (Saturday & Sunday), with the potential to expand • Salary: Competitive, based on experience ABOUT CIRCULAR THREADS Circular Threads is dedicated to promoting sustainability and community within the fashion industry. We are looking for a motivated and organised Studio Manager to oversee our studio operations and lead customer appointments, ensuring every customer interaction is seamless and memorable. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Inventory Management: Oversee and organise stock, including jewellery and handbags, for optimal display. • Appointment Coordination: Lead appointments, offering a warm, informative experience to potential buyers. • VIP Management: Handle VIP items, ensuring quality checks, tagging, and displaying. • Database Management: Maintain and update inventory records, ensuring customer communication is smooth. • Photography: Coordinate photography of VIP outfits. • Shipping & Returns: Manage the studio’s logistics for incoming and outgoing items. • Event Preparation: Organise outfits for events, including stock management for rentals. • Reporting & Social Media: Track studio performance and capture engaging studio content for social media. KEY SKILLS • Retail Management: Experience is a plus but not required. • Organisational Skills: High attention to detail. • People Skills: Friendly and approachable. • Sales-oriented and tech-savvy. • Cultural Knowledge: Familiarity with South Asian fashion. • Flexibility: Enjoys a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Last Saturday we hosted our first event of the year...What. A. Day. With over 400 tickets sold, it was our BIGGEST ever revenue day since inception 🥳 With combined sales from the day, we saved over: ♻️ 200Kgs of textile waste 💧37,000 litres of water ✈️ 300,000 airmiles Thank you to our community for showing up (even with the Elizabeth line closures!), and loving what we do enough to queue in the freezing cold! A feel-good story 📈
This time last year we hosted our first ever in-person event. It was the first time ✨ever✨ that people in the UK were able to buy, sell and rent South Asian clothing in one place. It was a big marketing campaign for us, and so on our a small start-up budget, we went all out. 👉🏽 We started marketing the event across our social platforms 6 weeks before. 👉🏽 We had over 20 influencers promote the event and share information on how to get tickets, as well as daily reminders. 👉🏽 We hosted an opening evening for 70 people to increase footfall over the weekend. 👉🏽 Partnered with digital wedding planning platform Eternity 👉🏽 Sponsored by Fashion District We were so proud of the 270 tickets we sold, and the number of people who showed up and loved the event, for a concept so new to the community. Thank you to each and every person who has supported Circular Threads from the beginning 🧡 Fast forward one year where we announced our first event of 2024, just 2 weeks before our event. I'm so proud to share we sold 100 tickets in the first 12 hours! 🎟 We sold out after 5 days and had to increase capacity of the event. 💥 We are now at max capacity with 350 tickets sold. 🤝 Partnering with one of the biggest South Asian multidesigner stores to showcase their samples 🙌 1/10th of the effort, zero influencers, zero additional spend for an opening evening This is the power of growth, and the power of a strong, engaged community.
