A goal of CIM Women's Alliance is to bring together the women in our firm through quarterly local events that foster relationship-building, networking opportunities, and having fun. The Los Angeles chapter of CIM Women's Alliance recently held its final event of the year, a holiday floral arrangement class where members crafted their own festive bouquets with Flower Duet. The chapter took part in several events this year, including a Women's History Month celebration, a tour of a CIM asset, and a Breast Cancer Awareness Month walk. We're pleased to announce that the CIM Real Estate Debt Solutions business, on behalf of a CIM-managed fund, has closed a $90 million whole loan to Brookfield Asset Management to refinance Downright Austin, a Renaissance Hotel in downtown Austin. Downright Austin is a 16-story, 367-room, top-tier full-service hotel located in Austin's Innovation Disrict, a hub of healthcare, technology and life sciences businesses. At Bisnow's Annual Multifamily Conference West in Los Angeles, industry experts discussed the challenges and opportunities multifamily operators face with retail in mixed-use projects.
