#STEMSaturday The dashboard data tool that NAVWAR #NIWCAtlantic scientists have created will help to ensure that our US Navy leadership stays informed of where we are in critical aspects of the Navy. These metrics ensure that we have a common understanding of my Navigation Plan project 33 targets. This vital information will help us save time, become more efficient and become more lethal to maintain our #warfighting advantage. https://lnkd.in/g8xmNYKC

#FoundationFriday #ICYMI: Last week the US Navy accepted delivery of the future USS Iowa (SSN 797) this is the 12th battle force ship accepted in 2024. Our partnership with industry continues to put more ready players on the field.
The US Navy accepted delivery of the newest Virginia-class fast-attack submarine, the future USS Iowa (SSN 797), Dec. 22, marking the Navy’s acceptance of its 12th battle force ship this calendar year. The ship was co-produced by General Dynamics Electric Boat (GDEB) and Newport News Shipbuilding, A Division of HII, and will provide the Navy with the capabilities required to maintain the nation’s undersea supremacy, such as enhanced stealth and sophisticated surveillance options. As the 24th ship in its class, SSN 797’s delivery adds a ready player to the field. “The Virginia-class submarine represents a Navy and industry commitment to deliver warfighting excellence to the fleet,” said Capt. Mike Hollenbach, Virginia-class Submarine program manager. “Iowa is the second Virginia-class submarine delivered this year. With each delivery, the Navy continues to strengthen our Nation’s undersea advantage.” Read more here: https://lnkd.in/eSQ4Nv4P

I was honored to attend the Armed Forces Bowl and have the incredible opportunity to enlist 80 new Sailors, Soldiers, Airmen, Coast Guardsmen, and Marines into the armed forces. Moments like these remind us that this is about more than just a game—it’s about celebrating service and dedication to our country. It was inspiring to watch the @USNA Midshipmen play with grit and determination, demonstrating the same hard work they will bring to the Fleet and Marine Corps. The Class of 2025 will carry this spirit of excellence into their future roles as commissioned officers . Congrats to the brigade on another win! #GoNavyBeatOklahoma

#MaritimeMonday This holiday season, our US Navy Sailors are standing the watch around the world, and I couldn’t be more thankful for their service, as well as the support of their Navy families and support systems. Our Sailors couldn’t accomplish what they do every day without you.
