🚍 December 2024 Service Changes Are Here! 🚍 We’re making moves to improve your transit experience! This month, CAT is implementing service changes to boost efficiency, enhance accessibility, and better meet the needs of our riders. 🌟 Here’s a quick look at what’s new: Key Route Adjustments Route 11: All trips now enter Candler Hospital via the main entrance for easier access to this essential destination. Route 25 :New Stops at Holiday Inn Express for early morning and evening trips. Extended Evening Service, including an 8:48 p.m. inbound trip (weekdays) and a 9:00 p.m. trip from Westlake Apartments (Saturdays). Schedule Modifications Route 6: Adjusted trip times with new 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. outbound trips. Route 12: Inbound travel times reduced, with select trips detouring to the CAT Garage for smoother service. Route 14: New 8:46 p.m. inbound trip added, with later departures for evening riders. Route 31: Headways reduced from 60 minutes to 45 minutes, offering more frequent service. Chatham Area Transit (CAT) will suspend services on Thursday, October 10, in response to potential impacts from Hurricane Milton. CAT services include Fixed-Route services, Paratransit Mobility, CAT Connect, the Savannah Belles Ferry, and the DOT Shuttle. All administrative offices will also be closed including the Joe Murray Rivers Jr. Intermodal Transit Center. Riders can still make Paratransit Mobility reservations by calling 912-233-5767 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., or by using CAT’s online reservation system at https://lnkd.in/etgAHEqB. Any updates will be communicated through CAT’s text alert system, social media channels, and on the CAT website. To subscribe to CAT’s text alerts, riders can text RIDECAT to 912-733-4830.
