The Governor’s office has announced that Commonwealth Fusion Systems will build the world’s first grid-scale commercial fusion power plant at the James River Industrial Center in Chesterfield, creating hundreds of jobs during construction and long-term operations. This multi-billion dollar project not only puts our region on the map for energy innovation but also brings tremendous economic growth and opportunities for our workforce.

The State of the Region, held on Monday, December 16th, brought together key regional leaders to discuss challenges, opportunities, and the vision for our future.
