This flag is special. This was made at the very beginning of Cerven Solutions inside our parent's garage on a Tormach 440. We've moved past the garage and Tormach days because we are lucky enough to be doing this in America. Excited to see what the future of manufacturing in America holds! Happy 4th of July! Introducing our Advanced (obviously), Medium bed FANUC America Corporation Robodrill from Maruka USA complete with a Royal Products mist collector and tended by a Universal Robots collaborative robot. They say if you love what you do you'll never work a day in your life. This, on the otherhand, may be a sign for a much needed vacation. Last month, we had the opportunity to visit Clippard in Ohio. We saw an impressive amount of parts machined for a wide variety of industries and overall had a great time. We just ordered a valve from McMaster-Carr and low and behold, the valve is from Clippard! It is really cool to go full circle from seeing behind the manufacturing curtain the parts being machined and then hold the final product in hand as the customer. It is exciting to think where the parts we machined have ended up and what they are doing. Thank you Greg Knox for the introduction and Cippard for the tour! As for what the valve is for? Stay tuned for some ideas on the Neo that we plan on implementing soon. The best way to start off the week is to come in and see the robot still going strong🦾 With a 16 minute cycle time, these polycarbonate parts will be running unattended for almost 30 hours! After that, the completed parts are unloaded, stock is loaded back onto the table, and we do it all over again. Combined with the 5-axis table, these parts are completed in a single operation so once the robot is done with them we remove the small tab and the parts are ready to ship. The future of this industry is exciting Allendale Machinery Systems! This little 3D printed jig took minutes to design and print, but what is it for? We did a recent run of Delrin parts that required a pair of dowel pins. Due to the geometry of the part, we could not stand the part up and push the pins in. This jig allows the part to be stood straight up, the pins to be inserted, and the part not to be deformed. An additional feature that we found is we could use the same jig for our laser when we are adding the part number onto the part. This ensures that each parts has a consistent finish from the pins to the engraving. All this allows us to quickly and correctly complete the job and move onto the next one, all due to few cents worth of plastic and a simple CAD model! Before and after. That is 99.4% of material removed until we have the customer's part! Made possible in a single operation by our favorite combo, Lang Technik USA pullstuds and Koma Precision Inc 5-axis rotary table. Excited to see all our favorite companies at one booth!
We are very happy to announce we will be in the Universal Robots Booth (#236131) as part of the Lights Out Mfg demonstration at IMTS - International Manufacturing Technology Show! This will be the first system of it's kind and a must see demonstration! LOM will be showing off their new RoboWrench X5. The RW5 acts like a riser under a self centering vise and can open and close through the entire clamping range! The system LOM put together will be cutting 25 unique parts ranging in material size from 1.25" up to 4". Christopher Zappettini programmed and setup 15 of the parts. Tim Paul setup the other 10 parts that had base programming done by Toolpath. This was a huge effort by all parties and the collaboration required was incredible. Massive shout out to the following people Thomas Saur for lending us the HWR Workholding USA vise. Tony Villar was instrumental in getting us SCHUNK USA hydraulic toolholders. Douglas Funfsinn and Joel Carter provided the tooling from Fraisa USA, Inc. which let us absolutely RIP. #imts2024 #imts #automation #cncmachining #zappettiniconsulting #lightsoutmanufacturing #toolpath #fraisa #schunk
