Modern Devices in Women’s Health GYN Exams
About us
Our women-led team has created the first speculum designed with the patient in mind. Advances in women's healthcare continue to lag far behind those seen in other healthcare fields. We know the experience can be better for both patients and providers. Our goal is to address these unmet needs and develop products that transform every patient's experience in the exam room. At Ceek Women's Health, we believe a human-centered design approach leads to products that improve gynecological care for all. Our Nella® product line includes the NuSpec®, a redesigned vaginal speculum built for patient comfort, the VuSleeve®, an innovative single-use sheath, and the VuLight®, a single-use LED illuminator.

Reflecting on when Nella Speculum was named one of TIME’s Innovations of the Year in 2020 🏆—a recognition of our commitment to advancing women’s healthcare. Our mission at Ceek remains clear: to bring more comfort and dignity to pelvic exams. Let’s Talk #Menopause! 💁♀️ Menopause can bring a whirlwind of changes—hot flashes, mood swings, sleep disruptions, and more. But here’s the thing: you don’t have to navigate it alone or in silence. Too often, women are told to “tough it out” or dismissed when they voice their struggles. Let’s change that narrative. Your symptoms are real, and they matter. Whether it’s hormone therapy, non-hormonal treatments, or lifestyle adjustments, there are options to help you feel more like yourself again. But it starts with a conversation with your clinician. 🌟 At Ceek, we’re passionate about creating space for these important discussions. Just like we revolutionized comfort with the @NellaSpec, we believe in empowering women to take charge of their health at every stage of life. 💬 Share your menopause journey, the challenges, and the triumphs. Together, we can normalize the conversation and make sure every woman’s voice is heard. Because girlfriend, your health is worth it. 💕 #EmpoweredThroughMenopause #YourHealthYourWay #WomensHealthMatters #MenopauseAwareness #BreakTheStigma #HealthcareRevolution #ComfortAndCare

Clinicians know the importance of the pelvic exam and pap smear in early detection and cervical cancer prevention. Yet, studies show nearly half of Gen Z and Millennials lack a clear understanding of what this even is —a critical gap in awareness. At Ceek, we’re committed to enhancing the experience of pelvic exams. The Nella Speculum is designed with patient comfort in mind, empowering clinicians like you to prioritize both care and comfort during these essential visits. Together, we can ensure more patients stay proactive about their cervical health.

One more reason for your patient NOT to skip their exam! The Nella Speculum products are now HSA/FSA eligible. We designed our Nella Comfort Kit for patients to feel empowered, safe and stress-free heading into their next pelvic exam visit. Now patients can #BYOC (Bring Your Own Comfort)!

As women we need more spaces to unite our voices, sharing our real stories, our real hurdles, and what we all want and need. That was one of our goals with our last event, Game Changers. We were thrilled to hear from trailblazers like Erin Andrews, Brooke Shields, Mallory Swanson, and our own CEO, Fahti Khosrowshahi, who shared powerful stories of resilience, leadership, and redefining women’s roles in sports, media, and healthcare. From inspiring insights to meaningful conversations that will stick with us from a night dedicated to driving change for women everywhere. We are carrying this energy with us into 2025!

There should be no shame in taking care of yourself. Whether it is finally calling the doctor to get that pelvic exam you are overdue for, or talking to your clinician about painful sex, or encouraging a girlfriend to talk to their health care provider about the menopause symptoms they are experiencing, it is time to advocate for ourselves and for others -- and without shame!

Today, we're celebrating the remarkable journey of our CEO, Fahti, a trailblazing woman on a mission to revolutionize women's healthcare. Fahti's passion and commitment to drive the research is rooted in many years of expertise at a life science consulting firm. But Fahti's story goes beyond her professional achievements. A decade ago, she embarked on a deeply personal journey of fertility treatments. Over three grueling years, she faced numerous miscarriages and self-administered hundreds of shots, displaying incredible resilience. However, it was during this challenging period that something stood out to Fahti - the outdated metal speculum used during her exams. Upon digging deeper, she uncovered an unsettling truth: the speculum, invented in the 1800s by Dr. Marion Sims, was used on enslaved women. The plastic alternative, still in use today, was invented almost 50 years ago! In this day and age, Fahti found it simply unacceptable that such a vital tool for women's health had never seen innovation and modernization. So, she took it upon herself to make a change. Fahti's mission was to create a speculum that prioritizes comfort and ensures that all women have access to advanced, modern healthcare. You can check it out over on the Nella Speculum page! Here she is pictured with Sports journalist Erin Andrews during the Game Changers for Women event. We couldn't be prouder to have a CEO who is such an outspoken advocate for women! #WomensEntrepreneurshipDay #WomenInHealthcare #ChooseWomen #womensupportingwomen #femaleceo
