Last week, I was invited to the @whitehouse to attend the inaugural Creator Economy Conference dedicated to discussing how the executive branch plans to support and amplify the contributions Creators have to the economic landscape. It’s time to reimagine Creators and artists as the true entrepreneurs we are. We’re not just making content, we’re business owners. Our innovation, creativity and storytelling is pumping billions of dollars into the economy which means that legislation needs to reflect our massive impact. Historically marginalized creators cannot be left out of this conversation. Thank you to the White House for identifying me as one of the top 100 leaders of America’s Creator Economy and recognizing the work we are doing at @theccnyc and @culturecon to provide resources and community to Black and Brown creators and creatives globally.
