The Maryland State Council of The Knights of Columbus donated 300 new winter coats to Catholic Charities! This year, coats were provided for small children in Head Start, our Community and Family Services, and Safe Streets. Since 2009, they've given over a million coats to kids across North America, with 600 distributed in Baltimore this year alone. 🧥💙 #catholiccharities #loveyourneighbor#communitysupport #baltimore #maryland

Beneath the busyness of the holiday season, there is a hum you can hear if you listen: “Do you hear what I hear? A child, a child shivers in the cold…” ❄️ During a time filled with abundance for so many of us, we're reminded of this classic Christmas lyric. In one of the wealthiest states in the country, it is easy to overlook the reality that 1 in 3 Marylanders faces food insecurity, more than 30,000 of our neighbors experience homelessness each year, and 12% of our children live in poverty. More people seek our help during the holidays than any other time. 🔗Give today at https://lnkd.in/e7-AT-dh and make a real difference.
