With help from our supporters, we were able to distribute more than 1,500 complete Thanksgiving dinners to families all across Burlington, Mercer, Monmouth and Ocean counties. Right now, our holiday gift drives and collections are underway so all of these families will have gifts under the tree on Christmas morning. It’s not just during the holidays that people need help. A gift from you today on Giving Tuesday will help ensure that families facing food insecurity or eviction will have support in the new year as well. With your donation, we will: Keep our shelves stocked year-round so no one has to go hungry. Operate two safe houses for families fleeing domestic violence. Ensure everyone has access to mental health care, whether they have insurance or not. Provide teens and adults with the help they need to recover from substance use disorders. It is this kindness of neighbors helping neighbors that makes a world of difference within our diocese. Thank you for supporting our mission. Today, we were honored to welcome Kerry Alys Robinson, Catholic Charities USA's (CCUSA) President and CEO. Ms. Robinson, a noted expert in Catholic leadership and philanthropy, is the second woman and second layperson to take the helm of CCUSA. During her visit, she shared experiences and insights from her visits to the border and the recently storm-ravaged states of Florida, Tennessee and North Carolina. Ms. Robinson toured El Centro and Integrated Behavioral Health Services’ Mercer County campus. She also sat down to talk with members of our team and Board of Trustees – asking questions and learning more about our service areas and the different programs offered around the diocese. Kerry is the author of “Imagining Abundance: Fundraising, Philanthropy and a Spiritual Call to Service.” #CatholicCharitiesUSA #CatholicCharitiesTrenton

We were honored to recognize Debbie Riveros, MPA with an Angel of Light Award during our 35th Annual Guardian Angel Dinner Dance! Debbie currently serves as the Executive Director of the NJ Children’s Alliance, Inc., an organization promoting hope, healing and justice for victims of child abuse by providing training, advocacy and resources. Members of our Family Growth Program met Debbie when she took on the role of Coordinator of Monmouth County’s Child Advocacy Center. In 2016, Debbie was named Director of the Child Advocacy Center in Monmouth County. In this role, Debbie advocated to have the Family Growth Program’s Facility Dog Surf become a member of the prosecutor’s team, providing comfort to children called to give testimony in court or after a forensic interview and during therapy. She faced resistance, but persevered. She says service animals provide unconditional love and no judgement, and this is exactly what a child who has survived abuse needs. Congratulations, Debbie! And thank you for all you do to protect the lives of children. We could not have put together the event without the support of our Angel of Light Sponsor Reilly Financial Group and our Angel of Faith Sponsors Archer & Greiner, P.C., NJM Insurance Group, Rapps Pharmacy and the Parish of Our Lady of Sorrows – St. Anthony.

From the bottom of our hearts, we’d like to thank volunteers from Reilly Financial Group who recently conducted a Day of Caring at Providence House Domestic Violence Services’ Ocean County safe house. The team tackled heaps of messy leaves, disassembled old picnic benches and spruced up the yard so children who are staying there have a comfortable, safe place to play. And they did it all wearing huge smiles. The clean-up crew included (from left) Colin Gavin, Christopher Jule, Bob Knoll, Kate Reilly, Bob Scrabis and George Reilly. In addition to these hands-on efforts, Reilly Financial Group was also the major sponsor for our recent Guardian Angel Dinner Dance, our primary fundraising event. They give back in so many ways! We could not achieve our mission without the support of George Reilly and his team. Thank you! #WeLoveOurSupporters

Last year, our food pantries recorded more than 93,300 visits from individuals and families who are food insecure. We hold fundraisers, like the 35th Annual Guardian Angel Dinner Dance, to raise money to keep the shelves and refrigerators stocked with good, nutritious food. Playing a vital role in this year’s event, as they have for so many years, is our Angel of Light Sponsor Reilly Financial Group. Thank you George Reilly and your team for continuing to care! This year, Catholic Charities, Diocese of Trenton will be holding its 35th Annual Guardian Angel Dinner Dance. Thirty-five years is an impressive milestone for any endeavor – but for a fundraising event, it’s pretty near miraculous. We would not be here without our Sponsors. It’s with gracious and humble hearts that we thank Reilly Financial Group for their continued support. George Reilly and his team have gone above and beyond for this organization in so many ways. We are blessed to receive their support. With it, we feed, clothe and house families in need; we provide accessible behavioral health and substance use treatment to anyone who needs it; and we protect and assist survivors of domestic violence.
