To recognize new students at Westmont College, the creative team created and produced a "Confirmation Box" specialty piece that's mailed to all students who make a deposit to confirm their decision to attend. This beautifully designed piece won a Council for Advancement and Support of Education Best of District VII Award. The strategy affirms a student's decision and increases likelihood of retention by celebrating their joining Westmont. https://lnkd.in/gYzbPfxm

Utah Valley University's three outstanding Council for Advancement and Support of Education Global Awards were automatically recognized as Best of District VII Awards. One of these was for the Utah Valley University Branding Campaign "UVU: A Place for You - a multi-year branding initiative to bolster the university’s image as a progressive, student-centric institution." Kudos to Utah State University for receiving five Council for Advancement and Support of Education Best of District VII Awards this year! One award for Photography recognized the work in "The Unforgiving Work of Surprise" which illustrated the bright energy of an artist who works in cold stone in his outdoor workspace at high noon on a winter day. The bright sun washed out the marble statues completely. Hanging a giant tarp on the left blocked the direct sun from the portrait area so the soft light from the strobe could selectively light the sculptor and his work. The light telephoto lens is pointed upward at him to raise him above the horizon and his works surrounding him are not contained inside the frame indicating that he has much more work than pictured here. His warm tones contrast with the cool tones of the background, while his wild hair and piercing eyes hint at his personality. What impactful photographs. https://lnkd.in/gfx9u3sE

Exciting to see the impact of CASE’s benchmarking initiatives in Latin America, supported by the dedication of leaders like Sam from our District VII Cabinet. CASE Insights empowers institutions globally with the tools and data to advance philanthropy and higher education. Here’s to fostering more connections and progress in 2025! #CASECommunity #CASEInsights #Philanthropy #GlobalConnections #HigherEd
Hope, Connection, and Progress: My Journey with CASE in Latin America 🌎 As the year winds down, it’s natural to reflect on the moments that shaped us—and one highlight stands out for me. In 2024, I had the privilege of volunteering with CASE América Latina and the CASE Insights Team to advance philanthropic benchmarking in the region. This included delivering a workshop at Congresso CASE América Latina in the spring, which also marked my first-ever international work trip! Meeting inspiring advancement professionals like Monica Manzanilla CFRE was a gift. Together, we explored shared challenges and aspirations: the quest for better data and insights, upholding ethical standards, fostering a culture of philanthropy, navigating shrinking budgets, and rising to meet growing expectations. These conversations were a reminder of how universal our work in education and philanthropy truly is—and how collaboration can make us all stronger. This trip deepened my connection to higher education in Latin America, a region I hold close to my heart. Seeing the transformative potential of philanthropy in fueling this work fills me with hope and purpose. A huge thanks to CASE for welcoming me into this opportunity. I’m excited to continue building on this progress in 2025—and I can’t wait to reconnect with colleagues at Congresso CASE América Latina next year. Here’s to growth, connection, and the power of education to transform lives across the globe! https://lnkd.in/gejXbwte #HigherEd #Philanthropy #Advancement #CASE #LatinAmerica #Reflection #Gratitude

The 2023 cover of Pacific Magazine required the University of the Pacific to think outside of the box...literally. With "Looking Beyond" as the cover theme and the Pacific "P" as a prominent design element, after many days of brainstorming, the team traced and carefully cut out a six-foot-tall Pacific "P" from an even larger backdrop and had students step through it. With the full-day photo shoot with energetic students, nimble post-production work and using generative AI for the first time on a signature project, the vibrant cover captured the dynamic spirit of this year's issue. This beautiful design received a Council for Advancement and Support of Education Best of District VII Award, along with two other awards. Congratulations to https://www.pacific.edu/
