Surprising 3 easy ways to boost brain health.. 1. Brush teeth with non-dominant hand -- strengthens neural pathways 2. Floss daily -- reduces inflammation 3. Stand on one leg while brushing -- improves focus and concentration Simple things like this, incorporated into daily routine, can make a huge difference over the years! 🌟 Thanks Dr. Suzi Schulman!

What if I told you that the key to better health, mood, and sleep is as simple as stepping outside? 👀 ☀️ At CareYaya, we're always looking for innovative, science-backed ways to enhance well-being. The power of natural sunlight has caught our attention, and here's why: • Sunlight exposure triggers photobiomodulation in our bodies • This stimulates serotonin synthesis in the brain via the retina 🧠 • The process is crucial for mood regulation and circadian rhythm alignment • It also promotes vitamin D synthesis, vital for calcium homeostasis and immune function Imagine the potential benefits: 1. Improved mood and reduced risk of depression 2. Better sleep patterns and overall rest quality 3. Strengthened immune system and bone health For stressed-out caregivers, regular sunlight exposure could be a simple yet effective way to boost energy and mental health. 💪 We're exploring ways to incorporate this into care routines: • Scheduled outdoor activities during peak daylight hours • Redesigning indoor spaces to maximize natural light • Educating on the importance of safe sun exposure How do you ensure you're getting enough sunlight in your day? 😎 https://lnkd.in/eRA8qKGK #NaturalHealth #SunlightTherapy #CaregiverWellness

Facebook brought up a memory from five years ago, when pandemic isolation was an issue for many of us, but especially our elders. Seeing my father's beautiful face is bittersweet, but I am so very grateful for our time together. That year, our family started "The 12 Days of Christmas" on December 12th....each of my nieces and nephews took one of the 12 days before Christmas to shower my then 95-year-old Dad with love. I invite you to read my article below to see how it went. The young people in my family understood the assignment 🥰 ! COVID has passed. Elder loneliness has not. What are some creative ways you connect with elder family members and friends during the holidays? 🎅 CareYaya Neal K. Want to live 7.5 years longer? Just listen to this short video from Jane Fonda. 🌟 She shares insights from a Yale study on aging and beliefs. TLDR: your mindset about aging could add YEARS to your life. Yale researchers found that individuals with more positive self-perceptions of aging lived an average of 7.5 years longer than those with less positive attitudes. This longevity advantage remained even after accounting for factors like age, gender, socioeconomic status, loneliness, and even functional health! Jane Fonda embodies this perfectly at 86 - still acting, advocating, and showing us that age is truly just a number. Think about it: What beliefs about aging are you carrying? Are they serving your future self? www.careyaya.org

Have you ever noticed how quickly life's problems shrink when health issues arise? 💔 Everything else suddenly feels... small. I'm reminded of this truth every day. Running one of the largest care platforms in America at CareYaya, I see thousands of people struggling with caring for loved ones through serious illness. A health crisis sometimes reminds us that: One moment of perfect health is worth more than a million dollars in the bank. 💫 Yet we chase wealth. We chase status. We chase everything but what matters most. 🎯 Meanwhile... Your body is quietly working 24/7 to keep you alive. Your heart beats 100,000 times a day. Your lungs take 23,000 breaths. Are we grateful enough? ❤️ Take a moment today to appreciate your health. Move your body. Breathe deeply. Rest well. Because the greatest wealth is a healthy self. www.careyaya.org What's one thing you're doing today to invest in your health?

Amazing panel with Jessica Nam Kim at the #longevityinnovation summit in DC! The MOST inspiring leader I’ve seen in care innovation. 🌟 At a time when our country’s biggest healthcare companies are: * making life more difficult for people who are already suffering 💔 * run by soulless automatons * broadly disliked by patients, families and doctors It is awesome to see Jessica present, and meet the type of leader that SHOULD be running the biggest healthcare companies in America: * empathetic and building with the user’s needs in mind * obsessed with improving people’s lives and alleviating human suffering * driven by purpose and social impact On the panel, she talked about exciting policy changes to better support more than 50 million caregivers across America. New programs providing funding for care navigation, respite care so they can get a break, and better support in hospital-at-home. Really cool to learn about the work she’s doing at ianacare. Rooting for this company to become huge! And, great to hear from other panelists Rita Choula and Jessica Guthrie, M.Ed, with thoughtful questions from moderator Bob Stephen. Thanks to the efforts of people like this, the future is looking brighter for caregivers across America! ❤️ 🇺🇸 Mary Furlong AgeTech Collaborative™ from AARP

A health insurance CEO was murdered in broad daylight in Manhattan. 🚨 The public's reaction? Dark jokes about denied insurance claims. As CEO of CareYaya Health, I've written a deeply personal analysis of how we reached this breaking point in American healthcare. When algorithms deny care with 90% error rates and half of Americans skip medical treatment due to costs... We've lost our way. 💔 The people have spoken: we need a complete overhaul of our broken healthcare system. Check out my full analysis in The Hill. #HealthcareonLinkedIn #LinkedInTopStartups #HealthcareReform

I have had frustrating, head-banging-against-the-wall moments dealing with insurers, but I recoiled at the vitriol that was on display on social media after the horrific murder of UnitedHealthcare's CEO. Goes without saying that we all want the culprit to be caught. There's no place for vigilante justice in a nation of law and order. Having said that, I agree 100% with this op-ed written by MedCity Influencer Neal K. Shah. It's so sad it has come to this. Yes, CEOs will rush to get security details but perhaps they should do more to renew trust with their members, the American public. You can't simply dismiss the response to the murder as social media trolling.
