UPCOMING WEBINAR Providing Solutions: Removing PFAS Using GAC Gravity Filters Presented by Dana Bartoletta, Applications Engineer Thursday, December 19th at 1:00 PM EST Complying with the EPA PFAS MCLs can be challenging for surface water plants that have limited space for new unit processes. Surface water plants use multimedia gravity filters for turbidity removal, which can be retrofitted with granular activated carbon (GAC) to add PFAS removal capabilities within the existing process. Key design parameters, such as hydraulic loading rate, must be considered for GAC gravity filters to work properly. This presentation will provide information on the proper design of GAC gravity filters and the importance of testing for estimating performance and bed life. Additionally, this presentation will provide key steps for GAC filter startup, best practices for monitoring GAC filters, and information on how reactivation can provide a cost-effective and sustainable solution for the reuse of spent GAC. Please join us to learn more about how GAC gravity filters can be an effective solution for PFAS contamination at your facility! ➡️ Register here! https://lnkd.in/ejj2ERiQ #PFAS #ActivatedCarbon #GAC #DrinkingWater #CleanWater #WaterTreatment #WaterQuality
