About us

The British Association for Cytopathology (BAC) was formed in 2011 by the merger of two previous societies, the BSCC (British Society for Clinical Cytology) and the NAC (National Association of Cytologists). The BAC represents cytology in all its forms within the UK and globally, working closely with other relevant societies, national bodies and government departments. The aims and objectives of the Association are: -To encourage the science and art of Cytopathology by encouraging higher standards in Cytopathology for the benefit of the public -To encourage research in Cytopathology and related fields and the publication of useful results
