🚂 Join us for a Historic Moment in Brigham City! Mark your calendars for July 22, 2024, from 9:00-9:15 AM at the Forest Street Crossing as we welcome the Union Pacific Big Boy Westward Bound Tour Whistle Stop! The legendary Big Boy locomotive, originally built for Union Pacific Railroad and delivered in 1941, will briefly pause in Brigham City. Stretching 132 feet in length and weighing 1.2 million pounds, it promises to be an unforgettable sight! Parking is available at Rees Pioneer Park for those commuting from afar. Remember these safety tips: 1. Maintain a distance of at least 25 feet from the tracks. 2. Supervise children and pets closely. 3. Consider using hearing protection if you are sensitive to loud noises. The Big Boy will also be showcased at Ogden Union Station on July 20-21. For more details, visit visitboxeldercounty.com. Exciting things happening in Brigham City!
Today BRIDOR announced plans to bring 87 new, high-paying jobs and invest nearly $229 million to Brigham City, Utah, over the next 13 years. This announcement was the result of collaboration among many Utah partners, including EDCUtah, the Utah Inland Port Authority, Brigham City Corporation, Boyer, and Utah Governor's Office of Economic Opportunity Brigham City Industrial Park, where Bridor will be located, is one of 14 development-ready properties certified by EDCUtah’s Site Ready Utah program. Psomas, an EDCUtah Ambassador level investor, completed the site certification work for Brigham City Industrial Park. Bridor said about their decision: “Utah’s connectivity to major transportation routes, top-notch labor market, and proximity to diverse and rich agricultural products quickly elevated Utah to the top of our state regional reviews. The strong local support of our project early on for a manufacturer entering the market helped us visualize the road map of how to establish operations here.” https://lnkd.in/g_E4MvSi
