Partnering with companies and organizations worldwide to generate positive impact through entrepreneurship support.

About us

Bridge for Billions is a social enterprise committed to make positive impact by supporting early-stage entrepreneurs worldwide. We partner with companies and organizations from all around the world to design and implement incubation programs for all those who have great talent and ideas, but lack of opportunities. By promoting this approach, we ensure the development of communities and regional ecosystems. Entrepreneurs with a higher survival rate are able to generate more revenue, jobs and raise more funds, unleashing economic growth. Our programs are open for all entrepreneurs worldwide, no matter where they are located, what education level they have achieved, or how much business acumen they currently possess. Inspired by both MIT and Carnegie Mellon’s entrepreneurship methodologies, Bridge for Billions serves the holistic needs of entrepreneurs by offering practical and experiential business education, personal one-to-one support from experienced mentors from their sectors, and peer-led community support and resources in the company of other like-minded founders. We do that through a cutting-edge online platform that allows entrepreneurs and mentors to learn in a flexible and interactive way.

  • This year has truly been a path of innovation, impact, and empowering real changemakers 🫶 As we approach the end of 2024, we wanted to show what we did during the year to make the platform even better for programs and better incubation experience! By simplifying financial projections, powering Parrobot with AI by making it a program assistant, and many other features, we’ve worked to create resources that truly make a difference to facilitate everyone’s learning process. 🚀 Here’s a glimpse of what we accomplished together: 👉 A brand-new Financial Forecast Module to help entrepreneurs understand their financial projections for the next 3 years. 👉 Introducing AI to Parrabot chat, making it a program assistant and now able to offer real-time insights during incubation. 👉 Easier application process, a global directory to connect you with other entrepreneurs and mentors, and much more! Swipe through to learn in detail all the features we released in 2024 💙

  • The EDP Hope Fund Incubator wraps up with extraordinary impact! For two months, 14 innovative initiatives in the energy sector participated in a program designed to accelerate and promote their growth. This process included intensive training sessions, personalized mentoring, and sustainable practices, which strengthened and refined their business models. Thanks to this effort, the initiatives raised a total of $825,000 in investment rounds and are implementing strategic improvements; leading to a more inclusive and fair energy transition. 🔋✨ This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the collective effort of Bridge for Billions, EDP, and Ashoka España 💚 Thank you to all the collaborators and participants for their commitment!

  • Imagine you want to launch a business in a new country. Perhaps you were forced to leave your home. You only wanted to start something new, in a place where opportunities are better and quality of life higher. In other words, you're a migrant entrepreneur. And as such, you'll probably relate to these challenges: 🔹 Deal with bureaucracy and legal systems – obtaining the right visa or permit to legally establish and operate a business. 🔹 Understand and complying with local tax codes. 🔹 Learn a new culture and local consumer behavior or business etiquette. 🔹 Secure funding from banks or investors with a lack of local credit history. 🔹 Build connections with local suppliers or clients from scratch. 🔹 Meet a mentor who understands both the local market and the needs of a migrant entrepreneur. 🔹 In some cases, face prejudice or xenophobia, which can affect your ability to secure customers or partnerships ....and many more. _______ We know that many migrants are in our network, as well as organizations that work every day to support them. On #InternationalMigrantsDay, we want to celebrate their resilience and also, share our current open calls for free incubation programs designed to empower and support migrant entrepreneurs. You're all amazing. Help us share to increase support! ♻️ 🇨🇴 Emprendimiento en Movimiento // Colombia: https://lnkd.in/dX9pbs6e 🇲🇽 Emprendimiento en Movimiento // Mexico: https://lnkd.in/dRR-VhGD 🇮🇹 Conecta Migrants and Refugees initiative // Italy: https://lnkd.in/d8iKdxUH 💙

  • Africa has the youngest population in the world, with 70% of sub-Saharan Africa under the age of 30. It is also home to 6 out of 10 of the fastest-growing economies in the world. Today, an increasing number of African entrepreneurs are rising to the challenge of growth and limited infrastructure with incredible talent and commitment. Their innovations have already brought the continent to the forefront of the new digital economy, with tech ventures providing solutions that impact countless lives. Since 2020, we joined forces with many actors – both global and African – to multiply the opportunities for entrepreneurs to turn their businesses into viable and impactful ventures. With more than 600 entrepreneurs supported through 24+ incubation programs, the future looks promising and the growth immense. Check these four examples of successful programs, implemented in collaboration with many partners like UNIDO, UN Environment Programme, Grundfos Foundation | PDJF, Novartis and many more. We can't wait for 2025 to unleash new opportunities, success stories and innovation across this extraordinary continent. 💙

  • On International Volunteer Day, we celebrate mentors, whose dedication and commitment have an important impact on entrepreneurs worldwide 🌎 Take the inspiring connection between Raquel de Aymerich Sagredo, mentor, and Isabel Solis, an entrepreneur who launched a gaming platform to conduct therapy sessions with teenagers. What started as a mentorship grew into a meaningful friendship, filled with mutual learning and support. 💡 To all the mentors: thank you for nurturing ideas, cultivating dreams, and building communities. You are the heart of our mission. 💙 #VolunteerDay #GlobalMentorship #PositiveImpact

  • How well do you know Queer history? Regardless of your answer, there’s one man working to bridge the gap of space and time, preserving the stories and memories of the LGBTQ+ community. His work is essential to keep the legacy of men and women who chose to live freely, or who fought for their rights until the end. 🏳️🌈 This is the story of Eric Handel, designer, activist and founder of Rainbopedia – an online archive that gathers global LGBTQ history, current events, and personal stories. Eric’s journey began in 2021 when his project took root in the Work for Yourself 50+ program, a collaboration between the AARP Foundation and Bridge for Billions. The online Rainbopedia website has been collecting queer stories ever since. It continues to inspire current generations to dream, act, and keep the memory alive. 👉🏻 Let his journey inspire you - FULL VIDEO: https://lnkd.in/dwAwmXb3 ----- This story comes from the Bridge for Billions #newsletter. • Are we investing in impact or just talking about it? This week we joined forces with other organizations to tackle a pressing issue: the current state of impact investing and the promises it has yet to fulfill. We're proud to have signed the manifesto: “From Hype to Hope”,  a reflection on how real philanthropy is often forgotten and displaced in favor of market-driven interests. True impact isn’t about scalability or financial returns alone. It’s about shifting the compass, prioritizing real, transformative social change and ensuring that no community or individual is left behind. We’re going towards a new era. The world and us as humans, need to rethink the way we act. If this message resonates with you, help us amplify it. 💙

  • Colombia and Mexico are two major destinations for migrants, especially from Venezuela, Haiti and Central America. As many other migrants in the world, people choosing to live – temporarily or not– in these countries need to rebuild their lives, often struggling to find a job, a new community or a network. That's why we're proud to announce a new partnership with the #WesternUnionFoundation, resulting in free programs for migrant entrepreneurs in both countries. This is a 5-month journey designed for early-stage migrant founders and aspiring entrepreneurs with a business idea. Online and fully flexible, the program offers participants mentorship, access to a network, and a comprehensive business model refinement to help them take their ideas to the next level. Applications for entrepreneurs and mentors are now open. Check the link to learn more 💙 #entrepreneurship #colombia #mexico
