Our Founder's Story documentary is here. Bodybuilding.com was founded in 1999 by a kid chasing a dream. 25+ years later, it remains as an educational hub to help people find their fittest selves. BBCOM founder Ryan DeLuca sits down with us for an exclusive interview where we relive the momentum of the last two decades, and how it all started as a one man band out of his mom's garage in Boise, Idaho. A special thanks to Ryan, a trailblazer in the world of supplements, but more importantly, health and fitness. Without him and the mission he set out on, millions of lives would have gone uninspired. To the next 25. Build Your Body, Build Your Mind, Build Your Life.™️ #fitness #health #workout #documentary

There’s a 32kg (71 lb) kettlebell sitting under my Christmas tree. It has a red bow on it and I watch as the reflections from the white string lights bounce off of it from every direction. Why is this significant let alone worthy of a post? I’ll tell you. Each year for the last four years, there’s been a kettlebell under my tree. And each year, those bells await their departure for their new home 75 miles north of my apartment. In 2020 I started training my dad via FaceTime twice a week. At the time he was 61, and beginning to feel the effects of 40 years as a self employed excavator. Carpal tunnel creeped in, shoulders rounded, crippling back and hip pain plagued his daily life. He chalked it up to just being “old.” After some convincing (nagging), he allowed me, his only child, his daughter, to see him at his weakest. He set aside his pride, ditched his ego, and let me in to help ease the side effects of compacting physical ailments. What we ended up accomplishing was so much more. Today my dad is 65. He stands tall with improved posture, his legs no longer quiver after a long day on the job, and his pain has diminished. More importantly, he gained the confidence and the knowledge of knowing what his body needs to feel its best. Each year we’ve progressed the weight of his kettlebell deadlifts. This Christmas he’s leveling up to 71 pounds. It’s funny how a little ball of iron can strengthen the relationship between a daughter and her father. The ability to move is a gift; one that none of us should take for granted. The ability to gift someone with the skills to move better is the best gift of all. We’re launching a new fitness app at Bodybuilding.com on December 30. In it you’ll find coaches who possess the knowledge, commitment and compassion to help you move and feel better in 2025. I’d let any one of them train my dad, but he’s locked in to an exclusive contract for life. 😉 #strength #fitness #brand #storytelling
