About us
Business Outreach Center Network’s mission is to improve the economic prospects of traditionally underserved groups, with a focus on low- and moderate-income entrepreneurs and their communities, and thereby create genuinely brighter futures. At the heart of our mission is the belief that whatever their differences, people and communities share a common goal: to achieve economic stability and growth. Working in partnership with culturally diverse individuals and organizations in support of this shared goal is the hallmark of BOC. BOC Network is a micro-enterprise/small business development organization with over a decade of delivering customized business services to micro and community business owners in New York City and, more recently, in Newark, New Jersey, as well as capacity-building services to organizations establishing and operating community and micro-enterprise development programs.

🎓 Congratulations to the 16 graduates of New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA)'s Childcare Business Pathways (CBP) program, the eighth cohort since 2016! This initiative, run by NYCHA’s Department of Resident Economic Empowerment & Sustainability (#REES), empowers residents to launch and grow successful home-based childcare businesses. Over 15 weeks, participants gain tools, training, and support to become licensed childcare providers, contributing to their communities and pursuing financial independence. Since its inception, 137 NYCHA residents and Section 8 voucher holders have graduated from CBP, with many now running thriving businesses. Special thanks to our partners— JPMorganChase Foundation, BOC Net, and others—for making this possible and to all who champion resident entrepreneurship. The ninth cohort begins Spring 2025, and we can’t wait to see even more success stories! 📢 Learn more about the program and its impact: https://lnkd.in/ehBp66v2 #NYCHApreneuers #NYCHAResidents
