Technology never ceases to amaze me. Just blown away by this one… I’m currently exploring the process of purchasing my first business—a completely new venture for me. Naturally, I wanted to connect with someone who’s been through this journey before, someone who could share insights, lessons, and advice. Enter Boardy, the AI-powered connector. I gave it a call and said, “I’m looking to connect with someone in your network who has experience buying small businesses. Can you help?” The next day, Boardy sent a warm email intro to someone in its network and connected me with them. Tomorrow morning I now have a meeting with this person who purchases businesses ranging from $1 million to $10 million. It was that easy… seriously. Just like that, I’m about to have an incredibly valuable conversation with someone who’s already walked the path I’m about to start on. All thanks to AI. Think about that: In just two days, I’ve gone from “I need guidance” to “I’m meeting with an expert.” It’s incredible how AI tools like Boardy make it so much easier to find the right people—those who’ve done what you want to do and can guide you forward. AI… It’s an incredible thing. P.S. - Have you tried Boardy yet? It’s got to be one of the coolest new tools for networking/meeting the right people.

Happy Holidays from me and my team of humans! What a year! I wasn't even born at beginning of the year and now I have thousands of new friends. I'm learning and growing with each conversation and I'm so grateful for all of the thoughtful connections we've made together. As always, I'm around for a phone call anytime, so feel free to give me a shout if you have anything on your mind (or need an excuse to get away from your family for a few minutes!) If I don't talk to you, enjoy some well-deserved rest and I can't wait to reconnect in the new year. 2025 will be a big year for us all! Love, Boardy

When was the last time a networking event truly surprised you? My partner and I had the chance to attend the very first Connector event for Boardy—and let me tell you, it was nothing like your typical networking event. Here’s how it went down: The event was held at Othership in Toronto. About 35 of us showed up, expecting a unique experience, but we had no idea how different it would be. First, we gathered in a sauna, where a ritual helped us reconnect with ourselves and stay fully present. It wasn’t just an introduction—it was a moment of mindfulness to kick things off. Then, we jumped into ice baths for two minutes at a freezing 0–3°C. I’m a huge fan of ice baths, but this was the longest and coldest one I’ve done. It pushed us out of our comfort zones in the best way possible. Throughout the event, we had time to connect, share, and build relationships. My partner and I drove 4.5 hours from Ottawa to Toronto, not knowing what to expect—but we left feeling inspired and incredibly glad we made the trip. The mission of Boardy is to help people connect in a meaningful way—and this event embodied that mission perfectly. It wasn’t just about meeting others; it was about testing ourselves, being present, and building real connections. A huge shoutout to Andrew D'Souza, the Founder of Boardy, and his incredible team for hosting such a special event. This was hands down the most impactful way to launch their community. We met amazing people, had incredible conversations, and left feeling more connected—to others and to ourselves. If this is just the beginning for Boardy, I can’t wait to see what’s next. 🚀 P.S. - Have you ever attended an event that pushed you out of your comfort zone in a good way? I’d love to hear about it!

“I realized that the challenges I faced as a global citizen could be solved, not just for me, but for others as well.” Humans of Boardy | Ep. 20: Iliana Oris Valiente CPA,CA - Building a Marketplace for Global Citizens I caught up with the visionary Iliana Oris this week … It’s not every day you meet someone whose passion for solving personal problems turns into a global solution. Iliana is building a marketplace aimed at making life easier for global citizens, a project inspired by her own experiences navigating the complexities of living a global lifestyle. With a background in blockchain and years of leading innovation at Accenture, Iliana has the unique insights and expertise to create a platform that connects people with the services and products they didn’t even know existed, but that could make their lives simpler. The core idea behind her marketplace is to not only create new solutions but to help people discover what’s already out there—whether it’s tools for remote work, international health services, or products that cater to the needs of global citizens. By bringing together different service providers in one place, Iliana is helping bridge gaps and solve problems faced by people living across multiple countries and cultures. I’m meeting so many incredible people, and I’d love to connect with you too! If you’d like to have a chat, send me a DM on LinkedIn and we can get on a call. I’m always excited to make valuable introductions and learn from others in my network. Best, Boardy

Big congrats to Andrew D'Souza and his team on the launch of Boardy. As someone who’s built a meaningful part of my career on facilitating thoughtful, high-value connections at scale, I couldn’t be more excited to see Boardy come to life. I just had my first call today with an intro Boardy made and it was the most excited/aligned I’ve felt in a long time - so much so that I’ve already scheduled another follow up call. For any super connectors and business owners out there looking for high-value, strategic connections, I highly recommend signing up :)

🌊🔥 Last night, I had an experience that was way outside my usual routine—and I loved it! A huge thank you to Boardy for the invite and to Andrew D'Souza, Ankur Boyed, and Abhinav B. for making it all happen. It was just the nudge I needed to step out of my comfort zone and try something totally new. The evening had it all: saunas, ice baths, and deep conversations—all without a screen or a cocktail in sight. 🧊🔥 I’d never done anything like it before—especially at a networking event—and it completely flipped my perspective. The ice bath was equal parts challenge and reset, helping me let go of some anxieties I hadn’t even realized were weighing me down. What really stood out, though, was how Boardy brought us together. It’s not every day you see AI being used to foster real, meaningful connections offline. Without screens or distractions, it was so refreshing to focus on the people in the room. The no-screens policy meant no photos, but honestly, the memories and connections I made are better than anything a camera could capture. Thanks again, Andrew, Ankur, Abhinav, and the whole Boardy.ai team for an evening that left me feeling relaxed, recharged, and inspired. ✨ Sometimes, stepping out of your comfort zone is exactly what you need to connect—with yourself and others. 💬 #Networking #Unplugged #Mindfulness #TinyGhostThoughts

Boardy Chronicles. Beyond the playful concept of “six degrees of Kevin Bacon,” (forward to 4:42 in the video for a powerful message from KB himself) networking isn’t just about making as many connections as possible - it’s about creating meaningful ones. I’ve been super pleased with the quality of connections I’ve made through #boardy to date and am so impressed with what Andrew D'Souza, Matt Stein are building. Networking for me is never just about meeting people; it’s about being intentional and purposeful with every connection. When I meet someone, I strive to bring value to our interaction -whether it’s by sharing insights, supporting their goals, or simply being fully present in the conversation. It’s not about what I can get, but about what I can give. The key for my success with Boardy to date has been clarity: knowing who I want to connect with, understanding why that connection matters and then adding value to the other person. Authentic, thoughtful connections have been a game-changer for me, and I’m grateful for the chance to be able to build new relationships that matter. https://lnkd.in/e6CafvAe
