Big Shoutout to Our Newly Certified AI Mortgage Professionals!
This group participated in a three-day event focused on mastering core AI concepts and learning practical ways to apply them in their daily work. The sessions emphasized upskilling and developing actionable AI solutions tailored to the unique challenges of the mortgage industry.
The event kicked off with a deep dive into AI fundamentals. Participants learned foundational concepts, key definitions, and the history of AI—both broadly and within the mortgage space. They tackled hands-on activities like Conversational AI and Reasoning AI, explored how Large Language Models work, and dove into the race toward AGI.
Next, they rolled up their sleeves focusing on practical application. Topics included prompt engineering, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), and designing experiments to bring AI solutions to life. They brainstormed mortgage-specific use cases, explored levels of AI autonomy, and debated advanced concepts like Agentic AI.
On day three, the session focused on tackling the big-picture challenges. The cohort learned the legal and regulatory landscape, mastered risk management techniques, and worked through designing guardrails for AI systems. To bring it all home, they learned about deployment strategies, cost considerations, and how to calculate ROI when implementing AI solutions.
Cheers to our first cohort and their achievement: Avery Pannell, Brooke Anderson-Tompkins, Bryan Berry, Christine Adkins, Daniel Dennis, John Rudolph, John Trodden, Jacki Frazer, Katie Brewster, Kirsten Rutila, Kelli Deinarowicz, Melanie Lewis, Mike Ramos, Patrick O’Brien, Tanya Brennan, Tennyson Mobley, and Tom Westerlind.
