Patient: "The pharmacy world is so confusing. I had scripts for tamiflu sent to Pharmacy A in [outside our market location] yesterday because they were the only place in the area open. The scripts didn’t arrive so the dr called and sent them again. I picked up one bottle and it didn’t cost me anything. I was supposed to go back to get the rest after it arrived but I got a message today from Pharmacy B that the kids tamiflu was in and filled. Since it’s so much closer I went there to get it and it’s $30 each. I used my insurance both times. It’s just confusing." Pt: "How does that even work out?" Me: Difference in network status of pharmacy, difference in where you are in plan/year cycle, possibly wasn't billed through insurance today and just cashed out...hard to say Pt: "Insanity. The math does not math haha" Me: "The more you learn about pharmacy, the more you realize blueberry is the only thing that makes sense...One price for everybody, every time." [note: had this person been in town, their price would have been just $6.52 for each fill] Pt: " Your slogan should be 'our math maths' 🤣" ...We do have a long history of liking math 🤪𝜋

Our Christmas cards are on their way! We won't spoil the design as some are still waiting to receive their cards (check back in a few days); however, we will share the all-hands-on-deck behind-the-scenes. It may look like we were putting our kids to work, but really they were putting us to work!! We were "assigned" a stack of cards as "homework" and only got "points" when we completed the stack. We had fun, and hope you all enjoy this annual tradition as much as we do! :) Thank you to each and every one of our patients that allow us to do what we do!
