When it comes to women making gains in #MBA programs, the long-term trends are encouraging, even as progress can seem painfully slow. This fall at 61 MBA programs in the US and abroad, women's enrollment reached a new high of 6,166, the Forté Foundation recently reported. Since 2020, enrollment of female students has increased 13%, outpacing the 3% growth rate for men and women combined. But over the past year, growth has been stagnant -- women made up 42% of all students enrolled in an MBA program this fall, the same percentage as in 2023. Where is all this heading? And how many schools / MBA programs were able to achieve gender parity? Forté’s CEO Elissa Ellis Sangster says her organization must keep working with schools to get as many of them as possible into the 40 - 50 percent range or higher.
