Our CEO, Geoff, explains how BlinkRx makes filling branded prescriptions easier and more affordable for patients.
The fundamental challenge in buying prescription medications is that it is a retrospective transaction where neither the patient nor the physician knows the price of the medication until the patient gets to the pharmacy counter. BlinkRx is moving this transaction online so patients get a text message with the lowest possible price for their medication in minutes. If you provide transparency so the patient never shows up at the pharmacy counter again and finds that they can’t afford the medication, if you push them the lowest price because you've aggregated all the savings offers so it's affordable, and if you provide the convenience of home delivery, we see over a doubling of the number of fills per patient…it seems too good to be true, but it’s actually quite intuitive.
